I chose to fasten the legs with quick set cement (I purchased 1 bag of cement which can partially been seen in picture 2, but I only used a little more than a softball size of cement on each leg). To put that in perspective, I have seen the neighbor's trampoline go flying in a wind storm and my 10 year old nearby oak tree nearly bent horizontally by the wind. However, you don't have to worry about it falling down if staked or you plant it in cement footers."
