"I took pictures of the assembly and posted them in detail on my Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200942320501147&set=a.10200942291380419.1073741826.1259915743&type=1&theater. The compost tumbler is doing great! UPDATE, one year later: Both my Yimby tumbling composters made it well through the rough winter, much colder and snowier than usual for this area. In spring I had two wheelbarrow loads of compost, which I put in my vegetable garden before planting tomatoes, beans, and okra. As I stated earlier, the key is to add dry materials to wet stuff so you don't get a soggy, anaerobic stinky mess."
"It was fairly easy to assemble once I got started but there are a ton of screws for the barrel part (56) and that was the most time consuming part for me, trying to reach inside blindly with the nut to screw onto the screw. Over all this product is affordable, works like it advertises when used with common sense, easy to tumble, makes beautiful compost and I would recommend it as an affordable alternative to the more expensive tumblers."
"It's been several months and #1 is a beautiful rich black now, with nothing recognizable left except avocado pits and some egg shells. Remember: No meat, wheat, or citrus, and a handful or leaves or grass clippings per small load."

"Here is a list of the tools that I used to assemble this: Drill motor (often just called a drill), A #2 Phillips driver bit short, #2 Phillips driver bit long (4 " worked for me), a 7/16 wrench, a 3/4" wrench, a 1/2" socket, a 3/4" socket (I used a deep socket here but you could use and extension), a razor knife to cut the plastic away from the blister pack, a flashlight so you can see to align the screws from one panel to another. I accomplished this by first installing one screw at the very end or the run and carefully aligning it with the hole in the other panel, I only drove it about 3/4 of the way through. Once I was satisfied that the panel was aligned correctly I then backed out each screw and then installed the plastic nut on the inside. I repeated this process for each screw so that the other screws would hold the panel in the correct position while I was installing a nut."
"In fact there is a massive meta rod that goes through the center of the whole thing. I thought nothing of it as I assembled the whole thing. I seriously got so irritated after assembling it 3 times, and finally I was done and went to slide the rod in, since nowhere in the instructions does it say where to add the piece, I thought I missed something, but nope, they just don't tell you when to add the rod."
"A couple of emails for some numbers off the box to confirm and order the parts I needed, and all emails were responded to quickly by him and my parts were at my house 2 days after our last email about 5 total business days."
"it's completely full after a summer's worth of trimmings and weeds."
"So for me, becsuse the assembly and the operstion/rotation pose no big problems , I think this rotating composter does a great job at a good competitive price."

"I had watched the YouTube video from Eartheasy on how to do the assembly which made everything go so much smoother. I did do all the screws with a manual screwdriver which added some time but also prevented any issues from not quite aligned holes. Update: After almost two years of daily use, as well as being buried in the snow through two winters this is still working beautifully. As for yield, if I fill one side to the brim with material and leave it alone it cooks down to about 7 five gallon buckets of finished compost."
"It is not possible for me to keep the unit composting through the winter unless I have a perfect combination of greens and browns and rotate every day, sometimes twice. I have a bin that holds 20 lbs right by the composter and I can throw in a handfull with each load of kitchen compost. In the mean time we are putting composting materials into our freezer in plastic containers, so by the time the temp rises we should have a good quantity to start. I have purchased a 2.5 gallon plastic container (like you would put cereal or flour in for your pantry) to contain the daily compost material until it is full, then I take that container to the Jora outside. When full, I take it out all day to thaw and then dump it in the composter. In only 10 days with NO compost starter and a difficult start with too many browns, I've already corrected enough to have this thing cooking away (I might add that the temp was in single digits this week!). Despite the fact that I empty a 2.5 gallon container into the Jora, on average, about every two days, I can still see the center post in the one side I've been using, so I've put about 50 gallons of material in a 35 gallon pot... it's been composting down quite nicely."
"My 70 year old aunt finds it really easy to open the sturdy latches and to turn when she takes the compost out if I'm not around."
"My neighbor has the larger size, and his wife can't spin it when it starts filling up. I'm a little worried about how long the foam insulation will last, as it is exposed directly to the tumbling compost, and is fairly soft."

"I fully expected them to give me a total cost for a new lid + shipping and handling, and ask for a credit card. Honestly, I can't name one car, truck, product, tool or component or anything I own for that matter that is backed by this kind of SINCERE customer service. It makes a liquid in the base that is phenomenal and can be easily drained out directly under the root line of our trees. Bones, twigs, old fruit, cooked foods, left-overs, leaves, dog waste, solids and liquids--it ALL goes into our Envirocycle. The only downside to this remarkable piece of equipment is that you may want to consider putting it down-wind of your residence, or at least out a ways from your house if it is your intention to use it like we do. I know some subscribe to the "natural compost only" theory, but the way we use it, ours gets a little ripe in the heat of summer."
"10 years ago, I ordered my first Envirocycle composter. I repeat, my three composters are TEN years old (BTW: They look brand new)........... and the company sent me a new one.....free of charge!!!!!"
"We had our first for a couple of years and decided that it would be helpful to have a second so that one could be cooking while we are filling the second. I read through the web site and found that the unit was still under warrantee."
"It ended up being a big mess when I finally lifted it up and had to deal with this pile of goo and a thousand worms. They want you to add so much of each ingredient then let it do its thing for 6-8 weeks while you turn it every three days. I added some lawn clippings about a week ago to the stuff that was already in there cooking and by the inferred picture attached you can see it does get very warm. The picture was taken in the morning and the composter was just over 70 degrees while the outside temp was just under 50."

"I used this for passover where I cooked for 17 people and instead of constantly changing my normal kitchen garbage during holiday cooking and entertainment (easy 6-8 times), I only had to change this about 3 times."
"I have owned an older Kangaroo container for years and the fabric stood up bravely to every demand in my yard duty checklist. However, after two days of use and my usual dragging and not lifting the full container, the bottom was abraded in several areas."
"I've received many, many compliments from customers when they see me pop up this bag and insert a contractor clean-up garbage bag. Unlike some other stand-up/collapsible garbage bag holders, this one has a wider base, making it harder to tip over and much more snug-fitting for the afore-mentioned large-sized, contractor garbage bags that you can purchase at any home improvement store."
"It is so easy to pick up and haul to the yard for weeding, grass clippings, etc."
"This is a really nice collapsible container to put weeds in other things in."
"Very light-weight, so you can carry it around the yard as you collect gardening waste to dump in the compost bin."
"The vinyl fabric seems sturdy, and the lack of a lid suits us to a tee, we were always trying to tuck the attached lid of the old one out of the way. Ok, I've got those Husky contractor bags, those are huge! I will need to clothespin the bag flap to keep it open, as the bag won't pull down over the edges, but we usually did that anyway to avoid the bags sliding in when something heavy gets tossed."
"It's great as it hangs and is lightweight, I used a canvas one by Gardman for 5 years until it finally wore out from carrying too many wet leaves & sticks."
