"I bought this to create an audible signal for my blind dog to find her water bowl. The issue was alleviated some by making sure that the fountain was sitting level and by my purchasing a tray to catch stray drips and keeping the flow as low as possible. Since purchasing this fountain I have spent additional money on trays to try and catch any spill over and a new pump and I have been thinking of finding some sort of waterproof rug."
"Putting some of the rocks right on the copper tubes as well as in the bottom of the fountain can create an even louder sound. I have another plastic fountain with lots of attachable parts which is a terrible bother to clean out. As another reviewer mentioned - it has no light and in a dark corner the shine of the copper is lost but I have put a small votive light in front of it and it shines upward and illuminates the copper and it really glows! I purchased a tube of silicon and resealed the bottom and it worked perfectly and I have kept it running ever since. I learned to just use a funnel to capture the water and redirect it into a bucket and then add fresh after you have most of it out."
