I use a human kid-sized brush for the small dog and regular adult brush for the big guys, there is really no need for a special brush -though the ones with bristles that wrap around all sides of the teeth are kinda nice. The sooner you begin, the better -please do not wait until the dog is old, not eating well because of tooth pain and missing teeth...often by this time your beloved pet is too old and unhealthy to risk anesthesia, and you feel terrible knowing you could have prevented this with a small investment of quality time with your pet."

".. had a winter snafu but they were on it and sent another right away.. it came with a nice long exp date.. i believe this is one of those things where it really matters who you order from.. i will continue to sprinkle a little on everyones food a few times a week ( i never use whole packet).. all poops are lookin good and it helps em finish when ive chosen a not so popular flavor ; ). -------------------------. dealing with a urinary thing either from stress/ some crystals/ or bacteria.. Not exactly sure as it comes and goes.. i think it started as stress and became bacterial.. but we are addressing all of it so that has led to 2 rounds of antibiotics so i asked about this because i myself am not a fan of obliterating gut bacteria but with psycho kitty we had to err on the side of caution since i have to drug and muzzle her to get there.! Hoping she stays well.. xray showed little bit of crystal action but not a lot.. And after talking with two very nice vets the nutshell i took from it is.. 1- crystal formation is common with dry food heavy diets especially in cats like her who dont drink a lot of water. 2- a lot of urinary issues are stress induced. 3- some are no known cause. MOST will right themselves but we have to treat the symptoms because they are miserable and the symptoms can cause stress wich then makes symptoms worse. SO anyone in same boat.. i would surely try things like these first ( and i did although i dosed the uromaxx as 11lb.. and found out she was 16). .. i would watch to be sure there is urine passing as a blockage is deadly! Then fine for a week ( i started treatment first day i noticed) second was day n half.. upped doses.. okay 10 days.. third was 2 days so i took to vet. 2-3 wk antibiotic shot and upped doses now that i knew shes a bigger fatty.. good 2-1/2 wk then started.. so on second day took back. Re did shot plus xtra anti inflam .. and went home with liquid pain med at small dose.. found even a half of that dose helped get thru till drugs kicked in.. and thats when i switched dry food gradually and discovered i could make gravy in the can with this added to get more liquid!"

"My cat is 10 lbs so i gave her 1 whole tablet, within 24 hours the worms were completely gone, its now been 48 hours and she is still worm free and feeling a lot better. gently apply pressure to the cheeks with your thumb and forefinger and the mouth will open, (you can use your other hand to gently open their mouth) DO NOT squeeze hard and hurt your kitty, if you feel uncomfortable doing this then please DONT. gently rub the cat's throat and you can put the syringe in (ones for cleaning ears work great) the corner of the mouth and squirt a little bit of water in to help the pill go down. Do not let the cat open its mouth, continue rubbing the throat gently and once the cat starts licking its lips it means the pill has been swallowed. It is normal for them to vomit the next day and my cat did but she has been fine ever since so dont worry ;). Also helpful tips: After you give your kitty its medicine wait 24-36 hours."
