"Also, don't forget to clean your glass on your old doors (we didn't think ahead) because you won't have access to that overlapping area if you screw in the pet door."
"I secured it using 4 supplied screws that went through the existing track on the slider patio. The existing door lock had to be removed so the door would sit flush against the left side of the wall. The lock on the existing door doesn't work with the pet door, so they supply a lock you can install. Then, when you're sure the lock will be good, you can secure the door to the patio door frame."
"I did not drill anything, just leaving as is since I plan on taking it out each time I am gone for a while since its that easy to remove and put back."
"This is really the best option out there if you need a dog door and dont want to destroy your house."
"I first bought the Ideal Pet door (I like that the plastic on the flap was clear vs tinted, the was it is on this one) and my medium dog had a hard time climbing through the hole because it was so high off the floor. So I went to Lowes to see if they carried their version of a patio dog door and they did - made by PerSafe (I ended up buying it there)."
"I am posting a review here for the benefit of those with Large Dogs... just because this door says "Large" realize there are large dogs and LARGE dogs... also not-so-large dogs that have long legs (like my Boxer)."

"I've searched at multiple stores to find the best doggie door before I was going to puncture a hole in my house and install a cheap, flimsy, or otherwise very ugly looking doggie door. Second, although this is in my opinion one of the nicest looking doggie doors, the brown plastic telescoping piece is the weak point for this product. Even following the manufacturers instructions and recommendation to add additional stud support for the telescoping piece, I added studs to all sides, top and bottom, for the doggie door installation. After 10 months of having the doggie door installed, my German Shepherd ran out into the backyard through the doggie door, ripping the outside half of the telescoping brown part, and taking it with her on her way out."
"Tools and supply’s recommend. Screw driver, drill, level, saw, ruler, pencil, 2x4 depending on your wall thickness, Window/Door spray foam, extra screws. Use the supplied cutout to mark your hole with a pencil and level to verify before cutting with a drywall saw. Make sure Doggy door fits in hole properly before adding 2x4, if not extend cuts into the drywall as needed. Screw each place, notice holes for doggy door and avoid same placement. Remove exterior hole cut and verify everything is square and the telescoping door fits in nicely. Use extra wood screws to attach exterior wall to added 2x4s, notice where screw holes are for doggy door and avoid using same placement. Install Doggy door exterior side first and screw in place loose enough to verify inside piece will fit nicely. Attach interior doggy door but do not screw in internal side yet, move as need to make sure everything fits up nicely including interior walls of the doggy door. Add spray foam in gaps between doggy door and drywall and between 2x4. After Spray foam is in place secure interior side of the doggy door and get ready for doggy training! Pest Avoidance. One thing I really like about this doggy door is the grey plastic closing door that keeps out unwanted critters out of your house, by temporarily closing the door from use."
"I did have to take the magnets off the bottoms of the plastic "doors" as my cat was very young when installed and could not push them open."
"I needed to cut "relief cuts" on the inner panel & install >>> screws as needed on the 3 sides."
"I was concerned our cats weren't going to use it."
"Bit the plastic box frame is very cheap1-the frame was cracked had to super glue it back together 2-the screw holes two broke through and had to super glue the plastic."

"I also like this product because you are able to purchase a matching "pet door wall kit" to be used when you use it through a wall. A few other tips...If you are going through just a door, then installing this doggie door will be a piece of cake. (a good investment in a tool) I also cut a test hole through the drywall below the center of the intended opening to feel around inside the wall to be sure everything is clear with no wires or other surprises. The cutting of the long screws (which are included with the pet door wall kit) is something you should do with the help of a vice to hold the screws securely when you cut them. One last note: From my own experience, I have learned that a dog will have a difficult time learning to go through a double flap doggie door, so I suggest to my customers to tie up the inside flap until the dog gets used to going through one flap, then let the other flap down."
"There are a few things you should know about this this pet door, both good and bad - durability, usability for the pets, sizing, installation, and weather concerns. We have multiple dogs and a cat, and our small dog (a Chihuahua) and our cat have trouble pushing through these relatively heavy flaps, even on the extra small version. You should also be aware that the installation instructions state that in no case should this door be installed within 4 inches of the bottom of the door (I’m assuming for structural integrity concerns). These pet doors come with a paper template wrapped around the pet door – make sure you don’t rip it like I did before realizing what it was. Air is trapped in between the two flaps, and these aren’t the insane heat leaks that most pet doors are. Bonus – to train your pets to use the door, I’d recommend holding both flaps up for them the first time or two that they go through – a treat can help with that processes."

Reviews
"I anticipated the arrival of the potty bells and prepared myself for how to use and train my dog by watching a few videos on Youtube with similar products just different brand names. Once the potty bells arrived, they also came with a set of simple instructions which I also used and implemented. It took only a handful of times before my french bulldog understood that ringing the bell with his nose = door opens."
"After receiving the product hung it on the door we normally go out to potty and he picked up the idea that he was supposed to ring it to go out within one day."
"He would potty outside if we let him out often enough, but would go in the house if he happened to need to and the door was shut. It took him a few days to figure out we wanted him to nudge the bell, but he did figure it out."
"It took our dog about a week to understand how we wanted her to use them, but now she rings the bells every time she wants to go out. I learned that you shouldn't react to the bells every time the dog rings the bells, because they will think it's a toy. If the dog just went to that bathroom and you hear the bells ringing 10 minutes later, chances are the dog just wants attention. I would suggest only reacting when you know the dog hasn't been out for at least an hour, maybe 35-45 minutes if the dog just ate or it's a small dog."
"These bells are both sturdy and long."
"Great Product."
"I was pleased with the quick delivery and quality of the product."

"I asked an employee to cut the PVC pipe into 4 pieces (so each piece was 32" long). At the hardware store, I found a connector to hold the 4 PVC pieces in an "X" (or cross) shape. After assembling the playpen, I secured the PVC pieces and connector to the top of the playpen with zip-ties."
"So im attaching a picture next to my full grown german shepherd to guide you."
"We made a "gate" by using 3/8" X 2 1/8" cotterless hitch pins: simply insert an eye screw into the wood post, and the pin slides through that and into the channel on the fence (that the posts slide through) [see pics]. The pins can be attached to the eye screw so that it can simply be dropped once pulled out."
"If you're 5'2" and below, I suggest you use the Doggy door yourself to get inside because my tiny legs cant jump over that for easy access."
"He is not super rambunctious or naughty and is currently only 7 lbs, so it's holding him but it does move around a lot when he jumps up on the sides. I bought a shorter square pen by a different manufacturer that is only 4 sides which iis much more sturdy but it is also much smaller so we only use it for bedtime at night upstairs."
"No reason to make the buyer go through the 30 minutes or so of attaching the hardware."
"With a new puppy coming home, I knew this was exactly what I wanted!"

"Fast delivery--quality product---worked as advertised and was the best ramp of all that I checked out and very competitive on price."
"It has saved my back from lifting and pulling on the heavy boys."
"We have it going down the five steps from the back deck to the backyard, and my dachshund uses it like a pro. Plus he quickly realized that it was easier on his back and was glad to be able to use it to go up and down to do his business. This is usually because the dog's back is feeling great now and he bounds up the ramp to come inside."
"We purchased it for a week long trip in our RV as we wanted something portable and lightweight. First girl to go up it...she had no traction and slipped tearing up the sandpaper like surface."
"Our 11 yr old Golden was recently diagnosed with a type of bone cancer in his front leg, so with his already arthritic back legs, this added considerably to his inability to navigate 3 hardwood steps in our house without falling."
"But after about 45 minutes he was able to make it up and down the ramp with some gentle coaxing. We also bought the Solvit side door adapter for the ramp."
"From previous vet visits I have known he has arthritis in his hips, but one day his walking became worse. I was afraid to pick him up because he would not let me touch his back leg, and that is what led me to buy a ramp."
"After reading many reviews, I purchased (and returned) two other shorter, narrower ramps before getting this one. I have two 63 lb Aussies: one youngster who can leap tall buildings in a single bound and one older who, while amazingly agile on the ground, was no longer willing to jump into the back of our Xterra."

Reviews
"remember to read directions before pulling the gate apart as the plastic joints need to be loosened first. You can make this into an octagon/circle, square, or a rectangle, L- shape, and probable a triangle! The gates opening is a little small it you are blessed with nice size hips, but it is workable for me and my family that range from 125lb to 230lb."
"Sadly my father and step mom adopted this dog and she would have been a project for a seasoned dog trainer.... they were definitely in over their heads with her as they are NOT dog trainers. When I knew I was going to have to take her on along with my father, I started researching gate options. And I realized that until the dog was here, I really wasn't sure exactly how it would work out. After trying multiple configurations I ended up with 4 panels at one end of the long living room to lock the dog in both when we go out (she will crap if left in a large enough space) as well as a place to put her if we have company to keep them safe while she's learning her manners. We have 3 more panels at the other end of the room to keep her in with us most of the time while allowing the cats a safe space where they can get to their litter and food. The only thing I haven't used is the actual gate because my father's Rollator won't go through it, but that's ok - it may come in handy in the future. I was getting quite discouraged when I started researching for a gate because I really didn't know exactly how I would set things up and I didn't want to have to buy 4 different gates (or more) to figure out what would work. If you have someone who can't get through the standard gate that most of these things have, this is your gate."
"We bought 3 of the 192" Play Yard's and set up sectioned off areas in our back yard--they work and look great."
"I have a 7 month old feisty chiweenie and a 4 month old boston terrier and I've tried just about everything. they have their bedroom area, their play area and bathroom all in one fenced corner of my apartment, and I'm not even using all the walls!"
"I set up the mat (we ordered the HemingWeigh Multicolored Mat), placed the panels in the configuration I wanted and placed it on top of the mat. Then I took a pen and traced along the inside of the metal panels, took the play yard off and cut along my pen line."
"We bought this for our puppy since the first day he came home."
