I haven't ridden on the commute nearly as much with me feeling a little more cautious and it getting dark so early (I don't need to wipe out in the bike lane into traffic...) All is well though. Have had zero issues with the motor since bending the brake back to its (or close to its) rightful position. My commute to work each day is about 6.5 miles and takes about 25 minutes each way (in business casual clothing). So here are a few updated notes from my below review (and changing from 4-stars to 5-stars). == Seller ==. True to their word (main reason for change from 4 to 5 stars), they sent me a replacement gear shift for the one that was broke on arrival. == Bike Tuning ==. I continued to have issues with the rear brakes. Fantastic work by them, the bike has a better top speed by a couple mph now and shifting/braking are much smoother. == Extra Gear ==. I've had the eBike for about a week now and figure it is time to post my impressions. It has not been without hiccups (see below) but after quite a bit of research online I am convinced for the price, nothing out there will compare. == Shipping ==. UPS delivered one day later than the expected delivery date. Flip the handlebar clasp around and leave the dirt guard facing forward. I've ridden a few dozen miles to include a trip with a kids trailer towed behind, and it hasn't been really uncomfortable, but a little cramped compared to my Schwinn Trailway 28"/700c hybrid bike. I have ridden in shorts and tshirt to the beach as well as khakis and a button up with backpack to work, ok comfort both ways. I live in a hilly place and I need to pedal to make it up some hills. I do enjoy having the kick stand further back, provides a lot more stabilization to the bike vice being closer to the pedals. I feel like a higher voltage is used on level 3 pedal assist than can be gotten just using the hand turn, though. You also have to be careful pedaling around to park the bike or at a street corner waiting for traffic because you DO NOT want the motor to kick in and send you into a workbench or worse ... oncoming traffic. I've gone through YouTube and have done everything short of taking the brake pads out and adjusting the springs."

"Awesome ebike for the price...one issue that should be addressed is that the front wheel on the fork is facing backwards as shown on the the picture and on the video...the fork needs to be turned around so the disk break on the bike should be on the left side so as you pedal and make turns your foot does not hit the tire...for shipping purposes it was turned around so to fit in the shipping box...any reputable bike shop will correct this and also make minor tuneup and adjustments as needed as this is new out of the box and isn't tuned up like new bikes purchased at bike store...it is not safe riding the bike with the front wheel fork backwards...I luv this bike...safe rideing to you..."

"I bought this bike last year, and it was great fun for me to stow it away (it completely fits inside the trunk of my VW Golf!). It got to be annoying to keep having to reinstall the handlebars (although it comes with a handy allen wrench) but after a while, I got the hang of it. Maybe it should be stressed to future owners to not repeatedly remove the handlebars for storage but to leave it in place but for me, it was a thrill to get the entire bike to fit inside my trunk without having to lower my back seat."
"The swept back handlebars take a bit to get used to if your used to a mountain bike like me but your supposed to have an upright posture and easy ride when using this bike and it feels very comfortable. BE WARNED - I test rode several folding bicycles before going for this one and one fit great (current GIANT folder) but a few others just fit awful (ya know like the seat all the way up yet knees hit my chin sorta "fit") So if your my height/weight id recommend this one. (normal for ALL bicycles). Not sure about all these reviews that are saying its hard to build...I mean you know what the end result is going to be: A BICYCLE! The handlebars do not fold down easily - you need the allen tool that came with the bike to fold them down. The seat is not the most comfortable thing in the world - does have springs which help but if your big it kinda feels a bit like sitting on a yoga ball or something - has that weird bouncy feeling to it. I happen to have an old GIANT brand seat laying around that fit perfectly on the seat post and makes it feel MUCH MUCH more comfortable to ride so factor that price of a new seat if your trying to decide what folding bike buy."

"This is probably a common mistake simply because the bike ships with the forks rotated 180 degrees backwards towards the frame of the bike. Get someone with professional tools and a working knowledge of the mechanical assembly of bicycles and I guarantee you that the only problem this bike has that I find truly unforgivable is the fact that the seat is the hardest most uncomfortable thing i've ever had the displeasure of sitting on which is by no means a deal breaker since gel seat covers cost less than 10 bucks and for less than 20 bucks you can replace the entire seat with a super comfortable gel seat with integrated red LED tail lights. For a bike that cost under $99 there is NO REASON AT ALL not to love this bike."

"Yes, yes, the components on the Schwinn Twinn are low-end economy (e.g. steel cogs vs exotic forged and machined alloys chain rings etc) -- but they WORK! I was able to tune the bike and eliminate any unwanted noises, squeaks, scrapes and it runs like a top -- flawless. The assembled tandem weighs 47 pounds out of the box and my wife and i easily maintain 15 MPH on the flats (Could go much faster if my stoker would 'kick-in' and pedal for heavens sake. But, BUT, that very point is addressed in the owners manual., as well as other good tips (e.g. like to avoid cross-gearing which especially applies to any 3-chainring bike but is often missed by casual riders."
