I did some research and by the time I got my Amazon Yeti I was armed with this information. I tried to label the pics: fake on the left in red, real on the right in green. 4) HEIGHT – The fake one is about 1/8” taller. 5) UNDER – The 2 tumblers have the “Design in in Austin…” sentence but the numbers after “China” are different. There is a difference in weight, I think the real Yetis are a bit heavier (also got this info from a YouTube video). If you are paying anything under $30 and/or if the cup is being shipped directly for China, chances it is a fake. My advice (if you want a real Yeti) buy one directly from Yeti, REI, Academy, Dick’s, Cabela’s, ACE Hardware…. At the end I did spend $30: I bought 3 Ozark Trails (look up Yeti vs Ozark Trail in YouTube) from the local Wally-Mart: two 20oz tumblers and one 30oz tumbler."

After the 30 minute mark, it's come up a few degrees, but also at less volume and a significant decline in carbonization I didn't expect a perfect sip. After 40+ minutes, after I realize I've totally lost my beer, forgot about it, or it just grew legs, once I locate it I have more than enough chill left inside this steel silo of suds sanctuary that I can quaff back the remaining dead soldier and not feel like I'm chuggin Moose piss. I prefer my brews to linger in the low 40s for hop monsters to really unleash a tongue scorching lupulin kick with a fragrant how-do-you-do and high 40s for malt forward midnight oil stouts and porters. I even have two beer fridges with digital temp sensors (well, three, but that's all homebrew in kegs) to dial in my sweet spots. With its wide base and low center of gravity, your chances of sitting in a puddle of pilsner are greatly decreased. But go ahead and wear your dings and dents, bruises show character and signs of heavy trusted use. When wet and sweaty (from condensation, not your brow, but maybe hit the gym this week anyway) most bottles simply slide in and out without spinning the ring off. While on the subject, glass bottles can typically be recycled and reused once, whereas aluminum has a nearly infinite reusable ability. Which makes in a multi use item so now you can justify not shaving every ounce from your pack, and you just talked yourself into bringing a few IPAs for day 3 of your next journey, when your feet will be screaming but you just don't care."

Find Best Price at Amazon"KORA - carafe cannot be separated from its plastic frame. Bodum - carafe can be separated from metal frame. Lid: KORA uses a very thin plastic that can be easily squeezed from the edges. Entire lid rotates when positioning to pour. Bodum uses metal for the outer lid which feels heavier and more premium with an isolated plastic piece that rotates independently when positioning to pour. Spiral plate (the plate with holes and spring): KONA uses 2 rows of holes in their plate which go from small to large. KONA uses a 3-hole cutout pattern. Bodum uses a 4-hole cutout pattern. All of this said, I feel the higher price tag for the Bodum Chambord is justified. What this KONA did for me however, was replace my broken carafe and gave me a spare set of plates and a light duty filter for less than a replacement Bodum carafe. My humble recommendations: First french press pot - buy the Bodum. Replacement carafe for broken Bodum - buy the Kona and reuse your Bodum parts (assuming you don't mind not using your Bodum frame)."
"==UPDATED 12/26/14==. I'ved tried a couple French Presses, including the $20.00 Bodum French Press & the SterlingPro coffee press, and this is my favorite one so far. Since all of the french presses essentially work the same, there's not much variation in the quality of the coffee (they all taste delicious!). You take some coarse ground coffee (which you can get from stores or a manual grinder), put it in the french press, and then pour in hot water. Another advantage of a french press is the flexibility-you can adjust the temperature of the water as well as the concentration of the coffee (by adjusting the amount of coffee grounds), so you can brew the coffee the way you want. This press is also designed so that no plastic touches the hot water when you're brewing the coffee, so that's always a plus."

It is also sharpened on the ergonomically correct side so produce a pretty nice amount of sparks that quickly light up fire starting materials. I recommend you guys start scrapping from the bottom 1 inch or so, so that once you wear off that part you just go up rather than having wasted the entire tool if you used it whole length."
