"We've bought and replaced the typical-style snorkels several times due to all of those annoying issues that seems to go along with them (flimsy, leaky masks, breakage in the breathing apparatus, etc). We were even able to communicate without all the flailing hand gestures ;) Granted, you're still under water so it's difficult to hear, but since your nose and mouth are both free, it's relatively easy to talk. We definitely got a lot of strange looks, and you'll feel like a huge nerd with this giant astronaut-style facemask with big ol' straps on the the back of your head, but the ease of use and quality of the mask will make you super happy you sacrificed traditional masks and "style", I promise ;) Also, be prepared to have a big red ring around your face after prolonged use (don't worry, it fades quickly and it doesn't hurt)."
"The chin adjustment straps loosen up over a short time allowing the seal to break and the mask to leak. Use colgate toothpaste to cover the inside of the mask and let it sit until your next trip...then rinse it out....your mask will never fog up again. Set the straps where you need them and safety pin them or even use a paper clip to keep them in place for a good seal that will stay."

I have a fairly large head, and the silicon adjustable straps work and stretch amazing well. I'm a men's size 10.5 and there was still lots of room to adjust bigger, or way smaller if needed. I bought the first set for my Lovely wife [she's a women's size 9.5] and they fit her nicely also. I mainly bought the set for the snorkel as it's very comfortable and has the flex hose so it adjusts wherever you need it. Just buying a dive snorkel alone costs around $20-$30 so I scored big time."
"Overall, this was a good snorkel set, but I can't give it five stars. They were nice and portable (we were able to pack all three sets in a rollaboard suitcase). We dove underwater frequently to see additional wildlife and it wouldn't let any water in. They did let a little water in under the nose over time, but I understand that's to be expected (mostly due to laughing or smiling underwater :) ). My piece of plastic fell off at some point and I had to feed the mask strap through the connector as a workaround. These are going to feel more secure, be easier to get on and off, and give you a bit more piece of mind in case you hit a sharp rock."

"We've bought and replaced the typical-style snorkels several times due to all of those annoying issues that seems to go along with them (flimsy, leaky masks, breakage in the breathing apparatus, etc). We were even able to communicate without all the flailing hand gestures ;) Granted, you're still under water so it's difficult to hear, but since your nose and mouth are both free, it's relatively easy to talk. We definitely got a lot of strange looks, and you'll feel like a huge nerd with this giant astronaut-style facemask with big ol' straps on the the back of your head, but the ease of use and quality of the mask will make you super happy you sacrificed traditional masks and "style", I promise ;) Also, be prepared to have a big red ring around your face after prolonged use (don't worry, it fades quickly and it doesn't hurt)."
"The chin adjustment straps loosen up over a short time allowing the seal to break and the mask to leak. Use colgate toothpaste to cover the inside of the mask and let it sit until your next trip...then rinse it out....your mask will never fog up again. Set the straps where you need them and safety pin them or even use a paper clip to keep them in place for a good seal that will stay."
