"How to adjust pole length by dissembling pole parts. Notes: Counting from the bottom, only the second and third part can be dissembled; As the dissembling is irreversible, please make sure this accommodate to your need before you get started; Please proceed with a helping hand to avoid the screw to be pull back by the cord. Twist off the silver screw that connecting the cord and the inner lock of the second part and while unscrewing please hold on to it, otherwise it may be pulled back by the cord of the third part."
"For years I have hiked with a Leki Sierra Antishock Trekking Pole (Single) that doubles as a unipod when video recording my daughter's gymnastic meets. I recently purchased this trekking pole in order to cannibalize it to fabricate a prop stand for a new bicycle. However, after receiving it I was so impressed with the quality that I'll adapt it somehow to use with the bike, while still preserving it for its intended purpose. It weighs half as much as the center-stand on my old bike, and it's so compact that it easily fits into the rear basket without taking up too much space. OTOH, with the Leki, every time I used it, it seemed necessary to fiddle around with the three telescoping sections in order to get the length right."
"Put a velcro strap around the folded sections and you have something you can manage in a restaurant, theater, automobile, etc., where a 4.5 foot stick can be a problem. (I received one with a better strap than I have, but you can't count on it.). You attach the rubber foot and use it like a ski pole, relying on the strap rather than the handle."
"The one thing I don't like is you have to occasionally retighten the twist lock for one or two sections as they get a little loose, not really a big deal, but the pole has a rattling feeling to it when they get a little loose, but they retighten very easy."
"This is a great pole for walking and hiking."
"I don't understand why people give bad reviews on the bungee snap together walking sticks."

"Used it on multiple occasions and they worked great."
"Well after the up and down of an 8 mile hike and 2700 feet elevation change I can confirm these poles are life savers. I was worries after going to REI that I'd have to drop 80 plus bucks for a pair but found these and thought I'd give them a shot. He needed to move sideways several feet from his position but every hand hold was nothing but loose mud and it was a 25 foot drop into shallow water and rough rocks below."
"The hand straps a fairly easy to adjust, and the pole collapses small enough to fit in a standard daypack with about six inches poking out of the top."
"If at anytime, my view on this product has changed (for better or for worse), I will update this review to reflect my current assessment."
"I bought 4 different pair of trekking poles for a family trip to the Grand Canyon. They have a hole molded into the end of them so the metal tip of the pole will protrude through and scratch whatever surface you touch."
"They are OK but they have hard plastic on the tips and when walking on cement they make a racket!"
"These are my first trekking poles."
"I spent quite a bit of time trying to get them adjusted "just so" hoping I could get them to work but they ended up being pretty much useless, they just wouldn't lock in place."

"The bindings adapted nicely with the aid of a drill, some additional screws and 3/16 inch aluminum "pop" rivets; however one of the ratchet straps on the GV bindings was riveted on upside down ("sawtooth" side down) so the ratcheting mechanism would not work."
