The "stinger," which is the part that slides into your vehicle receiver hitch, has an upward bend that gives the rack more ground clearance. Another advantage of the extra ground clearance is that the rack sits high enough that it is totally protected by the vehicle. As you drive, the rack is in the vehicle's slipstream, so there's no additional drag that reduces gas mileage as you drive. With some racks, you might risk having the exhaust melt your cargo bag. Buy a locking hitch pin on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009V1WS4/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_10), which is helpful to keep the rack from being stolen while you're spending the night in a hotel. The hitch tightener will prevent that wobble, so as you're driving down the road and hit a rough patch, you won't hear a bumping sound from the hitch rack behind you. Buy a quality cargo carrying bag to use with your rack. The bag also comes with built in lashing straps so you can secure the bag to the cargo rack. If you are looking at other hitch racks, don't get caught up in how much weight they will hold. My only gripe is that I wish the straps that hold the bike on were ratchet straps as opposed to nylon webbing you have to thread (like a backpack strap) It does work though. I didn't want to use the nut & bolt to hold this on my hitch and went with a standard trailer pin instead so that it could go on and come off much easier."
"Another issue with this bike rack is it's a little sloppy in the receiver but a couple of wraps of electrical tape solved that one. Issue #3, have 4-3/8" flat washers to put under the bolt heads and nuts to avoid scarring the powder coat during assembly. The one feature that exists on both the Thule and this rack is the hinge pin near the bottom that lets you rotate your bikes away from the vehicle to open a hatch door."
"I took some time to use this product before I wrote my review because I wanted to be able to help people decide if this was right or wrong for them before spending their hard earned money on this. It is fairly solidly well built and I only put it on the truck when I need it so I cannot say how it would hold up long term in the weather. The pro is that it does a great job of stopping the bike rack from rattling inside of the hitch. The bike frame support arms fold down to give somewhat of a lower profile to store it away when removed or so that it takes up less space if you keep it mounted to the vehicle. also the bottoms of the bikes swing front to back when starting and stopping if not bungee strapped. you will get some scratches no matter how carefully you mount things because they are close together and pedals and handle bars stick out. It is far too heavy to lower the rack down with 4 bikes mounted if you would need to open a hatchback on an SUV type vehicle. I already tried mounting it with a hitch lock, and it allows far too much play in the bike rack swinging and rattling all over the place."

"I would say our trip probably put this Keeper to the ultimate test and it passed all without a single scratch. The first obstacle for our Keeper was that our Mazda3 does NOT have sidebars or any rooftop rails, nor did I install any removable or inflatable crossbars. Getting things soaked didn't really bother us since the clothes were all vacuumed sealed but we were worried that water might add extra weight if it's trapped inside. The ONE little inconvenience we had was that water would occasionally drip into the car when it rained very hard because the straps were linked into the vehicle, but that's only because we didn't have sidebars or rails to tie it."

Find Best Price at Amazon"Not knowing, I attached the brackets directly to the bars, loaded the kayaks, strapped them in, and went on a three hour drive across Idaho. On the trip home driving 65mph there were strong crosswinds pressing on the kayaks, so strong that the front aero bar bent up on the left (see photo) and the continued force of the wind caused the right aero bar bracing to slip off the side rail. Thankfully the brace jammed on the inside edge of the side rail instead of flying completely off, and thankfully the Malone racks held strong, and the kayaks remained strapped tight. I pulled over, re-fit the left jammed side brace, moved the rack further out over the right bar bracing, and drove the rest of the way at about 50mph due to the prevailing winds and concern that the bent rack would slip out again."

"Long story short not only did I get it home in one piece but while unhooking it I realized my dad who helped me strap it down had put the tie down strap on the back carrier through a little wire bracket that is only there to keep the tie downs out of the way while loading it and unbelievably it didn't break off. (the tie downs are supposed to go around the actual bar on the rack, it will make sense when you see it in person). And with the convenience of never having to remove them sense they fold down there a definitely worth the extra $50 over the stationary ones."

There is a plastic sleeve on the crossbar that the (much thinner) metal part of the bar fits into. With one clamp pushed all the way up against the end of the metal part of the crossbar, the other side clamp is on top of the plastic sleeve part of the crossbar (if you have these bars, you'll know what I mean). Safe and secure for sure, but very bulky, I would NOT want to leave these on my car, they really reduce MPG's and increase noise."

Important issues for me included: Length (long enough to go to the top of my calf just below the knee), Support (a good sense of compression support through the foot, ankle and calf), comfort (ability to wear all day without being overly constrictive at the top band, but also not sagging throughout the day), and fit (I’m 5’10”, 195 lbs., size 9 shoe, with fairly large legs – 17” calf, 10” ankle). VitalSox – This is a comfortable compression sock that comes just below the knee cap and has a nice wide top band and a nice thicker footbed for comfort. Because sizing of compression wear is really based on both calf and foot size, I was concerned that the Medium might be too tight in the calf, but that is not the case. These socks have a fairly narrow top band, but because they are long enough (come up to the bottom of the knee cap), and wider at the top, they are very comfortable to wear all day, and provide nice, noticeable support throughout the foot and leg."

The fitbit can also track sleep, and give you an estimate of your cardio fitness score (V02 Max). Other features: Clearly the fitbit is not a smart watch, but the text and call notifications are great when you're working out and don't have quick access to your phone. Accuracy: Tie. I have no idea what the negative reviews are talking about (Maybe they received a defective device or have exceptionally hairy arms?). The apple watch is slightly more accurate when it comes to distance, and probably more suited for someone who runs at a competitive pace. I love watching my cardio fitness score change and keeping an eye on my resting heart rate overnight. Apple has a ton of 3rd party apps which are great, but it lacks the complete integration of the fitbit. I haven't decided which one I will be keeping yet, but if I were basing my decision on fitness alone, at a non competitive level, I would choose the fitbit hands down. There are other useful features that make the Apple watch appealing in my line of work, so I'll have to weigh those into my decision. The apple watch doesn't have the same coolness factor with regard to fitness, and really doesn't motivate me to workout anymore than my iPhone would. It is perfect for someone who doesn't care about tracking fitness goals, but wants to leave their phone at home during a workout. The ability to stream music, track distance with a built in GPS, and respond to text messages are wonderful. I have a 7 inch wrist and the large band fits me on the last 2-4 holes (keep it loose when not working out)."
"As a Blaze and original Charge HR owner, figured I'd try my hand at the newest Fitbit Charge 2. It replaces the original best selling Charge & Charge HR. Steps, Flights, Heart Rate, Calories Burned, Connected GPS (shows a little map post workout when tied to your phone, and yes, you need to bring your phone with you on walks/runs), and notifications (as of now, just texts, calendar alerts, and displays phone number of incoming calls). The Charge watch has been the workhorse of the fitbit line. Since you're familiar with the Charge already, let's go over some of the issues you may have experienced and highlights/common questions answered: 1) Build Quality: The Charge 2 is a far far superior quality than the original Charge. **If you had problems with your original Charge band bubbling, the ability to swap bands and how the tracker is connected to the bands should eliminate the issues you have experienced ** Obviously way too early to make a call on how the device will hold up, but given my experience with Blaze & Alta, this feels similar in build quality, if not better, and neither of those devices have suffered from bands falling apart on a wide scale. 5) Display is nice, 4x larger than the original Charge. The font is a bright offwhite, as opposed to the original Charge that had a soft almost blue to it. Some display day & date, and most have option to where when you tap the display it will cycle through stats (may display heart rate, date, steps taken, how far you are in your goals, your hourly movement reminders, etc). Yes, two of the watch faces are digital (numbers display, not hands) and have seconds displayed. There is no 3rd party support at this time such as facebook, instagram, etc (The Blaze watch will be offering these soon in next software upgrade, so I guess there is hope the Charge 2 will get those as well). Heart rate was spot on as it usually was with original Charge HR & my Blaze. Obviously some folks have trouble with them due to body hair and whatnot, but the sensors on Charge HR, Blaze, and now Charge 2 seem to be spot on. An issue I had with the original Charge was it getting "lost" when I hit higher cardio levels. CONS: - vibration is notably weaker than the original Charge. The Charge HR slowly scrolls texts and notifications to you, which can be annoying if you're used to the Blaze. They serve their purpose well though, and I can't ding it for this as it's a step up from the original Charge. The Blaze is their high end product at the moment, but the Charge 2 is a very close second. I'll happily answer questions as I did for when I originally reviewed the Blaze out of the gate, and edit this review to reflect common questions or any issues I face as I put the device through its paces in the coming days."

"One of the plastic cables used to transmit the LED light has broken within 6 months and reduced the usability of the item. This means it can run longer on a low charge but will remain in the red (low battery indicator) for a long time before the batteries finally die. The vest will turn red when the battery is low so I don't recommend choosing red as your default colour. The toggles do slide as you move and I've found I've had to constantly adjust the harness. The toggles also create kinks in the plastic cables which cause damage over time. PROS: Lightweight. Easily adjustable sizing. Compact size. Multiple colour options. High illumination factor. CONS: Not rechargeable. Flimsy feeling design. Price."
