Find Best Price at Amazon"I've read a lot of reviews on this drain and while it seems that everyone agrees that it looks fantastic (which is does), a lot of buyers have posted that it leaks and the installation is a pain. Because I was forewarned about this, I decided to go overboard on the installation and make sure that it doesn't leak from the get-go. You want to follow the directions and just work it in your hands, like play-doh, work it into a "snake" and just put more than you think you'll need around the vanity drain. When you're placing the drain in the vanity, make sure you align the air-vent on the vanity with the vent on the drain. 7) Take the bottom sealing ring (that comes with the drain) and again apply plumber's putty in the same way as you did in step 1. (B) shows the ring with the Plumber's Putty on it and underneath (A) is the nut that also comes with the drain. Hand tighten the nut (clockwise), at the same time pushing down on the drain (from the top of the vanity) to make things easier for yourself. I realize that on the picture I don't have a good grip (you don't want to grab the corners like that or you'll ruin them) but this was just for the purposes of the picture. and take out the straw that kept the vanity vent clean). 11) Underneath the vanity, wrap the end of the drain thread with the tape from step 2 and screw on and hand tighten the "chrome" tail piece."
"I purchased this faucet because the person who owned my house before me installed the wrong type of drain. This decreased the surface tension on the grid so I knew I didn't have drainage issues with my actual house plumbing. I increased the size of the grid holes but that looked awful so I decided to buy this drain. I installed the drain on the vessel sink including the tailpipe before placing it on the counter top. When everything looked right I placed a small bead of adhesive caulking on the bottom of the vessel and set it down.
