"It has a built in lumbar support and the angle of the tub's back is perfect. I saw some of these tubs in a showroom and they looked deep, but I didn't think about how it would be installed in a real bathroom. The installation requires an additional 2 inches (I think in height) and then there is the rim of the tub. I do wish that I had paid the extra money for rounded edge tiles around the tub platform. Eventually (if I become more challenged by age) I may need to have a step built in front of the tub (or a short step stool) and some grab bars installed. It could also help maintain (to a small extent) water temps. I was hoping it would be like a heating pad and could be used for muscle tension."
