Find Best Price at Amazon"How I chose this lamp: - I purchased this lamp after swimming through reviews on just over 15 other similar LED lamps. Most of the lamps I considered were TaoTronics as they tend to have a very strong following with many positive reviews, not to mention they have been praised as some of the brightest LED desk lamps you can find for under $50.00. I previously had a small LED desk lamp and a tall fluorescent halo lamp that I could use overhead and move around as needed. A long array with a nice, even light output would provide for a better area of coverage than my previous lamps, which this TaoTronics lamp promised to provide. I use all three lamps to provide as much light as possible, however, it is still very obvious how much brighter the desk area is with the TaoTronics lamp on. The light from this lamp outshines my previous lamps as opposed to simply being washed out like dim headlights under street lamps. The LED array on this lamp is too bright to look at, but when looking at the lamp from any angle other than right up into the array, it does not bother my eyes at all. It provides a nice soft light you can use as a nightlight or an absolutely bright daylight lamp for a desk, work area, reading, ect."
"This Elune lamp will work well as a craft lamp on the "study" setting at highest output. When the dedicated craft lamps die I'll be replacing them with these, but not before I add another as a bedside reading lamp. What I see is a slight, but noticeable, lack of yellow in the Elune which is the same difference between the fluorescent and LED craft lamps - in other words, it's not the Elune but just LED spectrum in general."

I had enclosed several pictures showing different settings and it is just this light that is on."

To use it, you have to hold the power button (it's off when it's red), and it will light up blue, with the other blue lights. The blue lights tell you how much brightness your lamp is on, and to turn it down, you just touch where you want the brightness to go."
"There's an array of LEDs in a line behind an opaque screen- there are no weird dark spots or faded areas and you can only really see them if you're making an effort to look up into the hood. It gives you at least 24" of reach over center from the base of the arm, and it won't fall over no matter how you position it, though it might lean if you get really creative about angles and elevation. The DC adapter is colored to go with it, and as a nice bonus touch, there's a USB port behind the stem for charging phones or other devices. You can shut the LED stem when not in use so it's just a vertical white stick, giving it a streamlined look; you can fold the base flat against the arm for easier storage. Improvements: Adding in a removeable filter might appeal to some people; making the base stickier so it won't flex or wiggle would be nice, too. Finally, the DC adapter really should be hidden slightly under the base, the exposed cord outlet is a bit against the otherwise aesthetically pleasing lines."

"In fact, it is only adjustable to about halfway down the gooseneck, so you can hardly get the lamp past a 90 degree angle, and I like to lower it even more for close-up work. I’m posting a couple of photos, one of my OttLite, which is bent at the lowest end of the gooseneck, and one of the Brightech which is bent in the middle, which is the lowest point where you can begin bending it."

Unfortunately, there is one glaring (no pun intended) issue that might be a deal-breaker for some users: The electronic dimming circuitry or the external switch-mode power supply (haven't determined which it is yet) radiates a strong, wide band random noise spectrum that will essentially wipe out reception of even nearby strong FM radio (88-108 MHz) stations. I suspect the RFI noise source is the dimmer circuit, since when the LED is off (but the power supply is still plugged-in and on) there is no noise. So Bottom line: As a lamp alone, and if you don't mind using a device that significantly contributes to the ever increasing RFI noise background on the planet, this is an OK device and rates 4.5 stars."
