"For those of you who are in doubt of their own capacity and ability to properly install this like I was, DO NOT FEAR. Blow Drying Tip: when blowdrying, rather than blowing at the wrinkled area directly, sway the blow dryer gently around the wrinkle itself and the wrinkle will come out much faster. "Have ten windows in the home, so got two Duck 1299529 window shrink film kits, and a low cost Jerdon 1600 watt blow drier. Wiped the dust off the trim with a damp paper towel per window, dried, then used one of the four faces on each alcohol wipe for each side of the window trim. Lift an inch or so of the tape off the roll, grab one end, and pull on one side until you hear/feel a soft pop, then the other side the same way. Peel back the protective cover an inch or two, cut the half inch off of the messed up tape with your scissors, and and fold the cover crease) to one side ninety degrees. Leave at least two or three inches of extra film on each side. I did the top first, then a side, then the other side, then the bottom."

Find Best Price at Amazon"The first thing I did was to use some removable rope-type caulk to seal the huge air leaks. I wiped all the painted trim with a paper towel saturated with rubbing alcohol. Because my sliding patio door didn't have any base trim to attach the tape to, I had to get creative. I purchased a piece of white PVC trim (1 1/2" x 1/2") and cut it just a smidge larger than I needed. I reinserted the screws into the holes to make sure that the other half of the handle stays put. I removed the protective paper from the top strip of tape only, and attached the plastic. I put a lineup of dining chairs all along so that I could just walk sideways and easily reach the top without having to re-position a step stool. I also purchased the XL size kit and did a couple windows that were each over 9 ft wide. I will say that I wish I hadn't stretched the film taught to begin with, since the heat shrinking did cause that bottom trim piece to pull out of position a bit."
