"Recently got a Traxxas 4x4 RC truck (slash) and wanted a good set of hex drivers for mod work and maintaining it. The set screw looks like adequate strength steel so the only long-term week point would be the aluminum that the handle is made of. Doesn't seem to be a problem from observation and hardness testing (scraping inner area with high carbon still drill bit. An exaggeration of course, but only to make the point that they will scratch the finish on anything they come in contact with at almost any pressure level. But a ever-so-subtle bevel should have been made at the end to aid insertion and eliminate the scratching potential. On the plus side, this tightness gives a very confident feeling when applying rotational force on the screw. In my initial testing, I found this a nice compensation for the increased effort required for insertion. Additionally though, an RC truck like this is usually covered, in every crevice, with dirt and sand...so tight bit tolerance can become problematic. I might also take a very fine file to the ends to knock off the sharp points made at the corner edges. That should also help with initial insertion, but could create a little additional friction by wedging small debris instead of scraping it off the inner surfaces of the screw."
