Back then, I was able to solve the cube but it took some time. He found many sites and YouTube videos that gave specific instructions to solve it in a few minutes. It took him quite a bit of time to figure it out even when he had directions and he was unable to solve it without his notes. Anyway, I recommend the Rubic's cube because it's fun, challenging, forces you to use your brain and is actually solvable. I recently started posting reviews because I am disabled and have free time."
