Gamecube Console Platinum
New components designed by IBM and MoSys, as well as a large-capacity secondary memory cache, keep instructions moving through the system's microprocessor (MPU) at peak levels. Moving the software to disc media generally means lower development costs for the publishers, which, in turn, trickles down to the consumer not only in price, but also in availability and quality, as it's then easier to try out untested game ideas ( Pikmin , anyone?). While most other systems likewise have their games stored on discs, the GameCube's 3-inch format is smaller than everyone else's, and is so designed to fit in a shirt pocket as much as to deter would-be software pirates. In fact, here's a roll call of characters and series you won't find on the other consoles: Mario, Legend of Zelda , Perfect Dark , Metroid, Kirby, and, of course, Pokémon. A few names that the GameCube will share with the other guys: Madden, Tony Hawk, Sonic, Batman, and Star Wars . MPU (Microprocessor Unit): 485 MHz custom IBM PowerPC Gekko Graphics Processor: 162 MHz custom ATI/Nintendo Flipper Texture-Read Bandwidth: 10.4 GB per second (peak) Main Memory Bandwidth: 2.6 GB per second (peak) Pixel Depth: 24-bit color, 24-bit Z buffer Sound Processor: 81 MHz custom Macronix 16-bit DSP Sound Performance: 64 simultaneous channels, ADPCM encoding Polygon Performance: 6 to 12 million polygons per second (peak) System Memory: 40 MB Main Memory: 24 MB MoSys 1T-SRAM Disc Drive: 128 ms CAV (Constant Angular Velocity) system Data Transfer Speed: 16 Mbps to 25 Mbps Media: 3-inch, 1.5 GB capacity disc Controller Ports: Four Memory Card Slots: Two Audio-Video Output: Analog and digital Dimensions: 4.3 by 5.9 by 6.3 inches (height by width by depth). The 485MHz processor makes loading & starting the games faster than ever -- no more long load times.

GameCube (Jet Black)
The GameCube is the first Nintendo video game system to use a disc-based medium rather than cartridges for its games. "Our GameCube is still going strong, and I'd forgotten about it until my daughter found her little drums while cleaning out the closet."
"I bought the Nintendo GameCube console because of the previous console Nintendo 64.The PlayStation and the Xbox are good consoles but I had to go with the GameCube. I loved the Nintendo 64 controller for its unique design and I was a little disappointed that the GameCube's design is more like a regular controller but over all they did a good job. Some games didn't need memory cards because they had built in memory, and then sometimes one game could take up a whole memory card. Each game takes up a certain amount of blocks, for example, Super Mario Sunshine only takes up 9 blocks and that's a pretty big game."
"Nice to have this generation of console at hand, a lot of great family and friend games to play with each other rather than over the internet."
"I purchased a used GameCube from Valhalla's Retro Gaming World because I have tons of games and 2 memory cards from my childhood but my old GameCube no longer read the discs."
"Either way, this is by far my favorite console gaming system ever; I cannot recommend this enough for the price."
"The only problem was that the console would not read disks, nor would it spin the disk; this issue may have happened in shipping, so I contacted the seller, and they issued a refund even though I did not ask for one."
"Fantastic quality, although when I first received it, there were quite a few dings and scratches, but I quick wipe down with a damp rag cleared up a majority of it."
"Really happy with our used Game cube from Game Swift."

Super Smash Bros Melee
Battle through a tournament in 3-D fighting arenas or take on multiple players with special moves and unique strengths. Normally, Nintendo contract players such as Mario, Pikachu, Link, Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Kirby are generally happy and well-mannered, but in Super Smash Bros. Melee , the pleasantries get thrown out and the gloves (except for Mario's) come off. This update of the N64 favorite features these and other video game icons in furious, yet utterly absurd fisticuffs that usually make for a smashing good time. Starting off with 14 characters (an additional 11 are waiting to be unlocked), the game has a pretty standard premise--let Nintendo's stars beat on each other until the timer runs out. The game features an adventure mode that plays somewhat like an old-school, side-scrolling Mario game. Number of Players: Offline: 1-4 Players.

"In buying the game 'Super Smash Bros. Melee' for the system Game Cube, my thoughts are heavily satisfied."
"Adding 15 some characters all new to the mix, a small mini-game missions' section where you had to complete different obstacles, a trophy section with real game/character/item facts, newly remastered stages w/ classic 64-bit stages, a new single player Adventure mode where you can roam through the worlds of Nintendo's All Stars, and a survival game system where you can battle the polygon warriors in endless waves to the death. The fighting capabilities allow for a greater range of attacks and make use of fade-away dodge features which allow versatile tactics to keep effect through the game-play. In the heat of battle these slight failures and miscommunications of the control schemes will become more and more obvious the more you play them but on the flip-side of that argument that gives the game a great bit of unpredictability."
"SSBM is from the dawn of perfect video games, where all the content came included in the game, and you had to unlock it through progress, instead of the latest paid DLC trend."
"The fighting style, tactics, and just general theme were captivating and surprisingly difficult to master. Things like air-dodging, chargeable smash attacks, side-B moves, pummeling (punching the enemy once you have them in a grab [with the z-button]), and more elemental attacks have all been added to create a fighting game with combos and mindtricks that rivals those of the most advanced 2D fighters. This makes SSBM a variable fighter, and allows for people to create their own combos (with varying success of course). Super Smash Bros. Brawl, on the other hand, was release 7 years after SSBM, but not much was changed at all."
"The disc started working fine and does so most of the time but it was clearly not "Used- Very Good" condition and did not have a game manual in the case."

Nintendo Super Smash Bros. White Classic Gamecube Controller

Reviews
"Besides that, the controller overall feels just like any other gamecube controller and works with everything from a gamecube, wii, and wii U. I've heard that the controller has stopped being manufactured so definitely buy one soon as the price is going to keep increasing!"
"I bought this as a replacement for a GameCube controller, as the ones I had were ruined due to pets and other people mishandling them, and while I was using a loader/emulator so I could instead play with a classic controller (which i bought thinking a GC didn't work for games requiring them), I realized I needed one for Speedruns, as loaders are banned."
"The Nintendo Super Smash Brothers controller is a perfectly capable way to play either the new Smash Brothers game for Wii U or for playing classic GameCube and Wii games on those systems. Whether you are getting this controller for the new game or replacing older models this control fully meets expectations. Unlike newer wireless controllers the issue of syncing doesn’t exist, if you were able to set up the console the controller shouldn’t take more than thirty seconds of your time. Conclusion. The Nintendo Super Smash Bros controller easily met expectations and can easily be recommended for those wanting an easy pick up and play experience. If you want to play a variety of games in an ideal environment, this controller is worth a purchase."
"I've had some bad luck with 3rd party controllers and even some that claim to be 1st party, turn out not to be. It looks like a 1st in all ways but one: the control stick On the first party the head of the stick is separate, but on this one the stick is all one piece... it would make it more difficult to replace."
