Phantasy Star - Sega Master System
The game takes place in the Phantasy Star time of Space Century 342. Two hundred years earlier, space travel had been discovered, allowing for the colonization of two other planets in the galaxy, Motavia and Dezoris. The dark priests of this new religion, though never actually seen by mortal man, supposedly promised immortality to any who would join their cause. As heroic protagonist Alis, your brother has been killed by these Robotcops, but before he died, he left his sword and quest to you. 1 Player.

"Classic video RPG, probably one of my favorites."
"Oldskool RPG goodness :)."
"He just recently purchased a Sega Master System and this game was first on his list."
"Great service from the vendor."
"looks and is in really great condition, I have also played it too, it works very good, thank you very much for the game!"
"You play a girl named Alis, and you must go on a quest to destroy the evil Lassic, and the demon Dark Falz. Just like Dragon Quest, the game heavily revolves around fighting and leveling up. The game has it's hard moments, but the fact that you can save anytime anywhere makes it a whole lot easier."
"With its faux-3d dungeons, fully animated enemies, storyline centered on rebelling against a corrupt king, and the novel quest of good struggling against evil, Phantasy Star set the standard that all forthcoming RPGs would have to follow. An adventure spanning three worlds, each with its own motif (green, desert, and ice), Alis travels to numerous towns, and ventures through many dungeons in order to accomplish her goal. From every technical aspect, Phantasy Star exceeded all expectations for games of that era, and continues to amaze those players who missed out the first time and go back to experience it."
"Although this was a good game it was over shadowed by Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior/Quest. Pros. Easy to navigate menus. Exellent Visuals (for the 8-bit Era). Takes a Short time for Battles. Had Actual Characters (unlike FF which is more like create-a-team). Had 5 save slots. Could Save at Anytime. Cons. Easy to get lost in 3-D dungeons. Easy to get bored of. Takes long time to level up when in the lvl 8-30 range."

"All of that said, I WOULD actually still recommend this game to beat em up fans."
"almost as good as the nes version, but you can have two players at once."
"I'm going to make this a short review: If you guys haven't played DD for the SMS, its never too late...Get it today and bring this timeless classic VG to your home as this game reflects closest to the Arcade version."
"This is a wonderful reminder of my childhood...there's no way I could own a Sega Master System without having this game in my collection!"
"(There was that cheat that you could use with that one particular baseball bat to get points and [ahem] "earn" your moves, but it's still a drag that you don't have all of them from the start.). ), while this version has some guy (also tough, as I remember) who I think kind of resembles Billy and Jimmy Lee. The manual calls him Willy, which is the machine-gun guy's name on the NES version. One thing about this version of the game, which is a VERY minor thing but that I've always found just a little odd, is that when a character gets knocked down before being pounded enough to be defeated, they have no "getting up" animation or frame; one second they're flat on their back, and the next, they're standing up again! Also, this version's plot doesn't quite match the plot of the NES version (at least not if 2 players make it to the last stage), since Jimmy Lee is controlled by player 2 and isn't the final enemy. So this version doesn't have the "twist" (again, at least not if 2 players get to the last stage) of Jimmy Lee apparently being behind all the trouble (which I have to admit is actually kind of a cool twist) --- although I think it is possible, at least if you're player 2 and player 1's game is over, to beat the game as Jimmy Lee and get a kiss (I think that's what you get) from the girl, who is supposed to be Billy Lee's girlfriend!"
"As in the arcade version, you can actually play through the levels with two players."
"I remember playing this with my brother, and have fond memories of co-operative play."

Best Sega Master System Consoles

Sega Master System 1 - Video Game Console
The SEGA Master System is the videogame console that almost could. Sadly, like the Master System itself, the peripheral was under-supported with just over a half-dozen games, including Maze Hunter 3D and Space Harrier 3D. 8-Bit Cartridge Video Game Console System From Sega.

"This bit opener in particular did not hold up as well as I wished- always used a hand crank style driver rather than using it in a drill."
"The tool was used once (lightly) to tighten the screws of the N64 as a test. In short, it is a decent product, but be aware that putting too much pressure on it may strip it."
"Good quality tool and easy to use."
"If you have to open the console for whatever reason, this is the only way you're going to do it unless you want to use a Sawzall."
"Be careful to make sure you have it firmly in position before attempting to remove the screw."
"I'm not sure it had even been opened before so some of the screws were tough and the bit slipped a few times here and there when getting them out, maybe 5 times total."
"I just popped this into my hand screwdriver and it worked great."
"But, as I put it back together, it got to the 4th screw and I already felt it. 1/4 way into tightening the screw, it completely lost all "teeth" and now I can't secure the cover on the unit."
