It works very well even with the dents and the weird substance on it, and I have a feeling I probably would have received one in much worse condition if I got a new one. I bought stack-able baskets that fit against the left side and back in the bottom to organize meat I vacuum seal. I also bought a second freezer basket here on Amazon that fits perfectly on the top next to the one that came with this. This freezer is really nice and holds a lot, but something needs to be done about quality checks and shipping."
