"This gadget is pretty cool and effective. Normally, you have to floor it to kick to the lower gears and there is also a pause, . They called me after I ordered to verify and collect specs. Fast fulfillment and shipping from CA to MD. From lower to higher settings you can really notice the difference. The Pedal Commander eliminates all delays in throttle and gear shifting (automatic). Normally, to get all out ball busting, you have to floor it and there is delay all or nothing response. In automatics, it will shift gears up or down almost immediately without the usual pause and go feelings. I will mostly run mine at the base sport- smooth, responsive, quick and more manageable."

[see pics for right and wrong orientations; pix are from a '95 Saab 9000 Aero] If you prefer a longer, brass adapter for the Suburban, there is one available: Fumoto Valve Adapter ADP-107 (12mm-1.75) The Quik Valve folks are aware of potential issues with low ground clearance, especially if you're off-roading or four wheeling, so they do sell a clip that provides an extra measure of 'lock' on the tab to keep it from pivoting open if you snag a branch, etc. You simply reach the small locking tab, pivot it up slightly, then rotate it toward the drain port [approx 90 degrees] and the oil will flow. This is not a factor with the QuikValve fitting: when you rotate the tab, the brass and stainless steel sleeve pivots [looks like it's inside a nylon bushing] to open a good sized hole, approx 5/16"."

In the video you will notice the motor does smoke quite a bit when the bike is sitting still. I am a pretty hefty person and the motor has no problem getting up to full speed and pushing the bike in the high 20's to low 30's MPH . I waited till I had a 100 miles on the motor before I started using the locktight to give the screws and cables time to stretch. I had to do the same thing....30 secs later the motor was up and running Overall this was a really fun project that you will be very proud to complete. Make sure to take a bike lock with you when you go places since you will draw a lot of attention."

"2) When installing the throttle cable, install one end of the cable on the plunger inside the carburetor FIRST, then attach the other end to your bike handle. If you're having a hard time getting it going and you want the satisfaction of hearing the engine start, remove the carburetor (just have it dangling and out of the way) and the little tube that connects the carb to the engine. I found the gasket between the engine block and that tube that connects the carb to the engine to be a little lacking (I don't remember why, maybe a part of it was damaged). Also, I'm finding that the bike actually starts better with the choke fully open (which is good since you don't have to reach down for it after the bike starts)."
