"The hardest part of taking off the door panel is disconnecting the window switches. On some models the window switches will just pry out of the door, but on my model Yukon, the switches are screwed into the door panel, so you have to disconnect the wiring harnesses after you loosen the door panel."

"Opening the box I found the regulator, a piece of paper with information type on it describing the possible changes from the OEM part. On the bottom of the regulator where there was two bolts, there are welded studs on the new one.. Also, a support bracket mid way on the right side of the part is not present on the new one. The paper work explained the difference of the OEM and the replacement with pictures, its a copy, but readable. The paper work shows a picture and explains the missing point of contact. Most of that was taking my time and removing the door panel, plastic and wire's and reinstalling them."
"Disclaimer for this is Amazon Garage stated it fits my 2001 GMC Yukon XL, which it did but with compromises to the integrity of the regulator. Note the door frames for many GMC and Chevy trucks for several model years are the same so these issues will likely affect you too.Dorman just tried to save a few bucks by skimping out on some details. *The Original and AC Delco replacement comes with 6 bolt anchor points, 3 on each track, with the holes pre-drilled in the car door frame to accommodate them. *Tracks come pre-lubricated but I added some extra to ease operation. The product does work and it does fit with some modifications if you want to regain the fifth bolt anchor point, but life is just much easier with the AC Delco instead."

Find Best Price at Amazon"I do think that this Dorman window regulator assembly is good value for money, of generally good quality, with good fitment to original parts, but I have given a 3-Star rating because it has a built-in defect that significantly limits its life expectancy. The plastic 10-cent clip that retains the crimped ends of the drive cable in the window lift plate always fails at the top, which is where all the lifting force is exerted when the window is raised and then held in the closed position. The plastic part that fails is one of the cheapest components of the regulator assembly, but of course when it fails you must replace the whole assembly. So with my latest replacement regulator, I decided to spend a few minutes evaluating the problem to see if I could do anything to improve the "failure mode" (I'm not an engineer)."
"Original post... Just put this in my truck that has not had the driver window rolled down in a couple years! Purchased this unit because as far as the reviews go and info on the company that manufactures them, seemed like best bet, also the price was not bad. But you will need this for the plate to attach to your glass, if you have no old unit in your vehicle at all for some reason, you will need to find this part. You will need 3 more of these to screw through the holes in the door and then into the motor to bolt it in place, no nuts required.. But either way, you should be fine, worst case you will just have to use one the bolts and go to a hardware store to match up to buy 3 more. I have also purchased some 3m dry silicone spray as a lubricant for the felt window guide, Any stress I can take off of the motor the better, Maybe It will last me even longer."
"It finally warmed up enough for me to install this window motor and regulator for my 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab pick up. The Auto button on. the window switch works great and the window goes up and down, the way it should."

Lomanco motor comes with universal mounting kit to replace the flat plate (with 3 mounting holes). If your motor mounts with a belly band around the motor (5" diameter motor), this motor should work fine.

Find Best Price at Amazon"This is model F0510B2944 a 3-bolt (mushroom) roof vent fan motor designed to replace motor models A0416B2059, A0510B2389 & F0510B2497 for LOMANCO 2000 or 1800 ADDAVENT power roof ventilators. If you can't get the fan blade balanced but the motor spins quietly, then probably best to buy a new fan blade too. You can easily bend the fan blades on re-installation, so might be good to test it in place BEFORE you put the thermostat back together. I did try to lube and restore the old motor as outlined above by Randal Pozzi, but the shaft collar reservoirs were disintegrating so the shaft still wobbles."

"Ventamatic motor thickness is around 2 and 1/4 inches while the Lomanco is 2 inches (thinner but still installed OK; the rotors are also different in thickness, so the the original rotor with longer shaft is not interchangeable with new motor...I gave it a try, but it will not work). The shaft diameter of both is 1/2 inch, so old fan blade fit; the clearance to the motor body is very close, but still adequate; hand bent the fan blades a little, just to be sure."

"You need a 10mm socket, a cross tip screwdriver, body panel tools and a heat gun or blow dryer. I can't emphasize the body panel tools enough. Without the body panel tools you will probably have a tough time of it and scratch your truck."
