"I was actually debating on buying completely new aftermarket headlight units because the factory halogen lights were so abysmal. The halogen bulbs simply didn't put out enough light ahead or to the sides, not to mention making out details was impossible with the murky yellow color. Before spending over $400 on new headlight units I decided to give these LED bulbs a try (both high and low beams). Install: Installation was a breeze, these bulbs don't seem to have the polarity issues some other LED bulbs have that could require rewiring. Another thing that became apparent is the light's response time, HIDs are notoriously slow so they aren't even considered, but halogens seem incredibly slow next to these LEDs, to the point it is surprising that I never noticed it before. Immediately upon setting out it was apparent that these bulb were the answer I had been looking for; the entire roadway was being lit up, I could see things on the sides that I could never see before, when using the low beams light was reaching farther ahead than the halogen high beams could ever hope to. 30 minutes in, I can see eyes reflecting ahead on the side of the road, I start to brake, just as I near a group of javelina (native pigs) they rush out into the road, I easily avoided them thanks to the LEDs lighting them up way ahead of what the halogens would have. 2) The LED bulbs have to use their own cooling fans to stay cool."
"Reading some other customers reviews I decided to stick an aluminum heat sink in order to try to cool this module and may have some extra lifetime. I also noted that the LED bulb itself don't rise the temperature above 60 degrees Celsius (140F) due to the cooling fan "till it fail lol".. The last thermal image is an interesting comparison of heat signature of my Prius engine and on left side the bright led controller.."
"Since I was looking for new fog light bulbs with my 2013 Subaru Forester, I determined glare would be an issue, although I still need to re-adjust them down a bit... =/. Due to the size of the cooling fins/fan portion of the bulb. After ten minutes of trying to finagle the new bulb into place I determined removing the fog light housing would be my best bet to seeing why it wasn't fitting."

"I started hearing the stories from other Prius owners that the HID's were burning out early and sometimes at the same time while driving down the highway (scarey), and at first dealers were charging $800 per bulb (even more scarey). I bought 1 at a time, I replaced my passenger side first because my driver side didn't have any issues at that time. Seconds after I replaced the passenger side HID, I was standing in front of the Prius testing the new bulb, it looked great and bright, and I was happy, and wouldn't you know it, but the driver side flickered out right then. When I pulled out the old HID from my 2008 Prius, and put them side by side with the new HID, they were identical, same numbers, same Philips manufacturer. The solution was to re-seat the HID bulb, I un-clicked the HID pulled it out an inch and put it back in straight this time. Update 2: August 2016, 5+ years later, drivers side HID replacement bulb just burned out at 126,000 miles on the 2008 Prius."
"Knowing that the market is flooded with fakes I was put off at first by the fact that the boxes did not have holographic COA stickers on them and contacted the seller. This results in many knock-off bulbs outputting much higher levels of UV light, which could damage the lens and headlight glass."
"Bottom line - the Toyota Sienna has the ballast on the back end of the headlamp - it needs to roatate about 30degrees counter clockwise (if you are facing the back of the headlamp from the windshield). At the end of the braided cable is a metal box - this also needs to be rotated ~ 30 degrees counter clockwise and pulled straight out."
"Took me four hours but I took my time and also rotated all the tires which I'm glad I did because the wheels were very difficult to remove, would have been impossible on the side of the road with a flat."
"Fake product."
