The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook
Ina Garten and The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook provide the perfect recipe for hosting parties that are easy and fun for everyone--including the cook. For more than twenty years Ina Garten's, Barefoot Contessa, the acclaimed specialty food store, has been turning out extraordinary dishes for enthusiastic customers in the Hamptons. Finally, the energy and style that make Barefoot Contessa such a special place are shown here, with dozens of recipes and more than 160 breathtaking photographs, in The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. Her experience at Barefoot Contessa has given her hundreds of ideas for creating wonderful parties in a few hours. Lauren Bacall gets cranky when Barefoot Contessa, an East Hampton specialty food store/institution for more than 20 years, is sold out of Indonesian Ginger Chicken. Aimed at the cook who intends to entertain, The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook draws on Garten's experience as a caterer, as well as her knowledge of what customers really want to eat when they arrive at her shop. Starting with appetizers, Ina Garten isn't afraid to include such basics as hummus and guacamole: she knows from experience that her versions make a profound impact. There are French Onion Soup and Corn Cheddar Chowder, Baked Virginia Ham and Salmon with Fennel, Roasted Carrots and Caramelized Butternut Squash--and then one killer dessert after another.

Brunch at Bobby's: 140 Recipes for the Best Part of the Weekend
Pull up a seat and enjoy a Sangria Sunrise, Carrot Cake Pancakes with Maple-Cream Cheese Drizzle, Sautéed Bitter Green Omelets, and Wild Mushroom-Yukon Gold Hash.
Reviews
"I own a couple of Bobby's other cookbooks but this one is a little different because it focuses on the "Brunch" aspect and let me tell you - it is packed with awesome recipes and ideas for your next brunch! At the end of the book he actually puts together a selection of recipes from the book into occasions so it makes it easy to plan your get together with friends. I did notice a few reviews on here mention that a lot of the recipes contained in this book is on his website. It is beautifully designed and laid out and takes the burden of figuring out what to prepare by giving you suggestions and ideas. For the everyday cook I think you will really love this book. I'm planning a brunch this spring to be served outdoors and a lot of what I will serve will come directly from this book."
"Just the right level of complexity and ingredients to make the recipes very, very doable, but also a big step above what I call "housewife food"."
"Love it, so many great recipes, most with pictures."
"The book is made up of the following chapters: - Coffee, Tea & Cocktails. - Spreads & Syrups. - Pancakes, Waffles & French Toast. - Egg Dishes. - Pastries & Breads. - Sandwiches. - Fruit Dishes & Fruit Salads. - Savory Side Dishes. There are beautiful photos that accompany some of the 140 recipes. He does alter some of the recipes so they aren't exactly identical (example: on the website there is a recipe for Spanish Tortilla with Chorizo, Piquillo Peppers and Gurroxta Cheese but in the book there is a recipe for Spanish Tortilla with Chorizo, Piquillo Peppers and Roasted Jalapeno Pesto.)."
"The recipes are originals and easy to change if I don't have some of the ingredients."
"He has cooked a few recipes out of the book and they turned out delicious and beautiful!!!"
"We cook from this almost every weekend for brunch."
"Bought this so I co u l d get some of his southwestern brunch recipes."

"When Ina says "foolproof" she doesn't mean a recipe has only five ingredients or that it has only three steps. Ina means she has an ingredient list with easily obtainable ingredients and steps that appeal to your common sense so that you don't worry about whether the recipe will turn out. She finishes the book with a foolproof index of menus for special occasions which cross references with special dishes from all of her cookbooks. She does repeat foolproof recipes from her previous books such as her standard chicken stock, but the book is mostly comprised of new material. I have been using her roasted carrot recipe for over a year now and am delighted to see that she has mixed it up with a recipe for braised carrots and parsnips. She presents a mashed chickpea recipe that is yummy."
"The simple ingredients and Ina's methods of cooking put you at ease."
"This is a cookbook favorite."
"These brownies with a carmel topping and then added flaked sea salt are exceptional."
"Great recipes and not too difficult."
"Some recopies are a bit complicated but I still like the book."

Barefoot Contessa Parties! Ideas and Recipes for Easy Parties That Are Really Fun
After more than twenty years of running Barefoot Contessa, the acclaimed specialty food store, Ina Garten published her first collection of recipes. In the autumn, when it's not Thanksgiving, Ina roasts a fresh turkey, which her friends enjoy with popovers and a creamy spinach gratin. Filet of beef is easy to make for a fancy dinner with oh-so-good gorgonzola sauce, or sliced into sandwiches and served with lobster rolls for a Superbowl party. And fans of The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook will be delighted to find the recipe for the Lemon Cake they drooled over but only saw pictured, right here in this book. "A good party is not about the food," says Ina Garten, "it's about the people." That may be true, but her Barefoot Contessa Parties! Autumn brings beautiful menus like the one where you cook with your guests and end up with a feast of Potato Pancakes with Caviar, Salad with Warm Goat Cheese, Rack of Lamb, Orzo with Roasted Vegetables, and Apple Crostata.

Will It Waffle?: 53 Irresistible and Unexpected Recipes to Make in a Waffle Iron (Will It...?)
And that’s the beauty of being a waffle iron chef—waffling food other than waffles is not just a novelty but an innovation that leads to a great end product, all while giving the cook the bonus pleasure of doing something cool, fun, and vaguely nerdy (or giving a reluctant eater—your child, say—a great reason to dig in). Waffled Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Pressed Potato and Cheese Pierogi, and Waffled Meatballs all end up with dimples just right for trapping their delicious sauces. Cooking everything in a waffle iron turns out to be fun." "Pair this book with that waffle iron you never use and some lazy mornings or afternoons for some simple fun in the kitchen." -- Gale Gand, pastry chef, author, restaurateur, and TV personality.
Reviews
"I love felafel, and I know I can technically make it at home, but, honestly, how often am I going to put a vat on to deep fry it? It took one try for the waffled felafel to get inscribed in the regular rotation: delicious, crispy, ridiculously easy, and it barely changed the temperature of the kitchen."
"While I'll probably never scramble eggs in my waffle iron, I came away with a number of great recipes (you MUST try the brioche - it's SO easy and a delicious component of several items) and inspiration. For example, Shumski's idea to make a grilled cheese sandwich in the waffle iron is sheer brilliance by itself, but particularly so if you like to layer it with bacon or tomato. Double bonus: If you're using a Belgian waffle maker, your sandwich (if you center it, albeit against Shumski's advice - he suggests placing it as far away from the hinge as possible so as to get better leverage for closing it in, but my waffle iron, the Oster CKSTWFBF21, closes very nicely with the sandwich in the middle) will be cut into four sections, perfect for sharing right out of the waffle iron. and our new waffle iron."
"I already had a standard waffle iron, but after flipping through the cookbook I couldn't wait to use the new belgian waffle iron!"
"Awesome book, each recipe has easy instructions and pictures."
"Love it ... tons of ideas for making not only waffles but other dishes as well."
"Lots of good ideas to uses my waffle maker and very interesting recipes."
"What a fun cookbook!!!"
"Love this fun book, you think that sky is the limit with a wafle maker."

"There is sure to be one to match your mood, the weather, crock pot size, ingredients available, occasion, hair color you name it, haha. Nothing more inconvenient than using a can of green beans as a page weight while trying to hold your cookbook open. If one doesn't turn out how I like there is plenty more to choose from :) I think its very well organized and so happy I finally bought this book. The only tiny issue for me is I wish there were a couple pages at the end of the book for "NOTES" so that I could write down my favorite recipes."
"There are so many recipes in this cookbook I have barely made a dent in trying them, but I've liked all the ones I've tried so far."
"Love this cookbook due to the variety of different recipes."
"Very well organized and a ton of ideas and recipes."
"Tons of recipes, all very easy too follow."

"I am new to bread making so this is why I wish it was a little more specific to bread machines."
"I have had it for about a month, bought it at the same time as I bought my very first bread-making machine, and so far every recipe I've made has turned out great!"
"Very simple recipes for our bread machine."
"I've tried multiple recipes from this book with tasty results and look forward to trying more of them."
"Using the exact (measured by scale) measurements of ingredients resulted in a dough that was like thick pancake batter, rather than the dough ball I usually have. So, always check your dough while it is mixing/kneeding to make sure you aren't too wet or too dry."
"One thing I don't like about the book is that many of the recipes in the Whole Grain chapter aren't 100% whole grain - a few of them even contain only a small amount of whole grain flour. Despite the few things I don't like about this book, I feel that the information is so helpful that once I've tried a few more recipes and experimented a bit, I'll be able to adjust recipes successfully and maybe create my own."

"I've tried recipes from all the different meat sections and am very pleased with the outcome."
"I was impressed with the ease of most of them - and I quickly realized after trying a couple of the recipes that they could be easily tweaked to mimic dishes I have made before - the long way."
"Updating my review below, now that we've been using this cookbook for much longer: We really LOVE this cookbook and regularly use it (about three times per week). We make small adjustments for our taste, to add a bit more of the seasoning/spices or leave out an ingredient we don't like, but as written they are usually good to great. Some of our favorite go-to's include Slow Cooked Mac n' Cheese (p. 210), French Beef Stew (p. 201), Pizza in a Pot (p. 171), Spaghetti Sauce (p. 171), Chipotle Beef Sandwiches (p.39) and Lime Chicken Tacos (p. 135)."
