Reviews
"I have other pasta books, such as the joy of pasta, and usually they are maybe 25% actual pasta recipes, and the rest is sauce or soup or casseroles using the pasta. There is nothing wrong with that, but Making Artisan Pasta is a book about the pasta, about what ingredients to use, how to use them, how to make the pasta, form the pasta, and tons and tons of ideas and tips on making amazing pasta. There are some pastas that simply call for special gadgets to make them, it's the nature of the pasta, but if you don't want to spend a penny on new fun equipment there are still plenty of pasta recipes you can easily make."
"It is a pasta and noodle making book with recipe suggestions as to what flavors would go well with the pasta ingredients."
"Once you try the pasta recipies in this book you will never eat store bought again."
"all kinds of great recipes....already gained 2 pounds."
"I love the fact it gives you various instructions whether making or cutting it by hand or with a machine."
"There are recipes for white or red wines pasta dough; porcini mushroom dough; CHOCOLATE pasta dough; matzo balls, ravioli gnudi, spaetzle, passatelli, laminated pastas, Siberian pelmeni, pot stickers, and numerous others."
"The instructions are simple and clear-there are photos of each recipe, and they are unique...something you would actually use."
"Illustrations are very helpful and photos of finished dishes always make a cookbook enjoyable."

"There is sure to be one to match your mood, the weather, crock pot size, ingredients available, occasion, hair color you name it, haha. Nothing more inconvenient than using a can of green beans as a page weight while trying to hold your cookbook open. If one doesn't turn out how I like there is plenty more to choose from :) I think its very well organized and so happy I finally bought this book. The only tiny issue for me is I wish there were a couple pages at the end of the book for "NOTES" so that I could write down my favorite recipes."
"There are so many recipes in this cookbook I have barely made a dent in trying them, but I've liked all the ones I've tried so far."
"Love this cookbook due to the variety of different recipes."
"Very well organized and a ton of ideas and recipes."
"Tons of recipes, all very easy too follow."
"Looks like good recipes."
"What a great cookbook."

Will It Waffle?: 53 Irresistible and Unexpected Recipes to Make in a Waffle Iron (Will It...?)
And that’s the beauty of being a waffle iron chef—waffling food other than waffles is not just a novelty but an innovation that leads to a great end product, all while giving the cook the bonus pleasure of doing something cool, fun, and vaguely nerdy (or giving a reluctant eater—your child, say—a great reason to dig in). Waffled Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Pressed Potato and Cheese Pierogi, and Waffled Meatballs all end up with dimples just right for trapping their delicious sauces. Cooking everything in a waffle iron turns out to be fun." "Pair this book with that waffle iron you never use and some lazy mornings or afternoons for some simple fun in the kitchen." -- Gale Gand, pastry chef, author, restaurateur, and TV personality.
Reviews
"I love felafel, and I know I can technically make it at home, but, honestly, how often am I going to put a vat on to deep fry it? It took one try for the waffled felafel to get inscribed in the regular rotation: delicious, crispy, ridiculously easy, and it barely changed the temperature of the kitchen."
"While I'll probably never scramble eggs in my waffle iron, I came away with a number of great recipes (you MUST try the brioche - it's SO easy and a delicious component of several items) and inspiration. For example, Shumski's idea to make a grilled cheese sandwich in the waffle iron is sheer brilliance by itself, but particularly so if you like to layer it with bacon or tomato. Double bonus: If you're using a Belgian waffle maker, your sandwich (if you center it, albeit against Shumski's advice - he suggests placing it as far away from the hinge as possible so as to get better leverage for closing it in, but my waffle iron, the Oster CKSTWFBF21, closes very nicely with the sandwich in the middle) will be cut into four sections, perfect for sharing right out of the waffle iron. and our new waffle iron."
"I already had a standard waffle iron, but after flipping through the cookbook I couldn't wait to use the new belgian waffle iron!"
"Awesome book, each recipe has easy instructions and pictures."
"Love it ... tons of ideas for making not only waffles but other dishes as well."
"Lots of good ideas to uses my waffle maker and very interesting recipes."
"What a fun cookbook!!!"
"Love this fun book, you think that sky is the limit with a wafle maker."

"She was able to adapt these recipes to use with any bread machine and if you follow her instructions to the letter these breads turn out perfect and absolutely delicious ."
"I am new to bread making so this is why I wish it was a little more specific to bread machines."
"I have had it for about a month, bought it at the same time as I bought my very first bread-making machine, and so far every recipe I've made has turned out great!"
"Very simple recipes for our bread machine."
"I've tried multiple recipes from this book with tasty results and look forward to trying more of them."
"Using the exact (measured by scale) measurements of ingredients resulted in a dough that was like thick pancake batter, rather than the dough ball I usually have. So, always check your dough while it is mixing/kneeding to make sure you aren't too wet or too dry."
"One thing I don't like about the book is that many of the recipes in the Whole Grain chapter aren't 100% whole grain - a few of them even contain only a small amount of whole grain flour. Despite the few things I don't like about this book, I feel that the information is so helpful that once I've tried a few more recipes and experimented a bit, I'll be able to adjust recipes successfully and maybe create my own."
"Looks to be a great book, hopefully my wife will love it as a Christmas gift."

"I've tried recipes from all the different meat sections and am very pleased with the outcome."
"I was impressed with the ease of most of them - and I quickly realized after trying a couple of the recipes that they could be easily tweaked to mimic dishes I have made before - the long way."
"Updating my review below, now that we've been using this cookbook for much longer: We really LOVE this cookbook and regularly use it (about three times per week). We make small adjustments for our taste, to add a bit more of the seasoning/spices or leave out an ingredient we don't like, but as written they are usually good to great. Some of our favorite go-to's include Slow Cooked Mac n' Cheese (p. 210), French Beef Stew (p. 201), Pizza in a Pot (p. 171), Spaghetti Sauce (p. 171), Chipotle Beef Sandwiches (p.39) and Lime Chicken Tacos (p. 135)."
