Find Best Price at Amazon"The USB plug may be a little tight when plugging it into the base of the light the first time and will stop short of plugging in flush with the plastic housing in the base of the light - but that is not a problem, I just want you to be aware of this so you don't try to force it in further than the mating connector is designed for. The plastic lens cover over the LEDs is now a frosted (milky) type which diffuses the light giving it a softer and more even light distribution. In the first photo you will see a close-up of one of the two light "heads" showing the new frosted lens over the LEDs which help diffuse the light much like a frosted light bulb. In the second photo you will see a comparison of the relative light brightness (intensity) between full (highest) brightness in the top "head" and the dimmest (lowest) brightness in the lower "head"."

Most of the lamps I considered were TaoTronics as they tend to have a very strong following with many positive reviews, not to mention they have been praised as some of the brightest LED desk lamps you can find for under $50.00. I previously had a small LED desk lamp and a tall fluorescent halo lamp that I could use overhead and move around as needed. A long array with a nice, even light output would provide for a better area of coverage than my previous lamps, which this TaoTronics lamp promised to provide. I use all three lamps to provide as much light as possible, however, it is still very obvious how much brighter the desk area is with the TaoTronics lamp on. The light from this lamp outshines my previous lamps as opposed to simply being washed out like dim headlights under street lamps. The LED array on this lamp is too bright to look at, but when looking at the lamp from any angle other than right up into the array, it does not bother my eyes at all. It provides a nice soft light you can use as a nightlight or an absolutely bright daylight lamp for a desk, work area, reading, ect."
"This Elune lamp will work well as a craft lamp on the "study" setting at highest output. When the dedicated craft lamps die I'll be replacing them with these, but not before I add another as a bedside reading lamp.
