I also must add that my 18 mo old has accidents occasionally where his diaper leaks during sleep and of course that smell attracts the cats to pee in the crib, especially the little kitten that has barely learned that litter box means = pee and poop INSIDE the box. I grab a large garbage bag, throw the pillow in and soak it with 3 or 4 cups of NM until the spot is fully saturated. If the pillow is washable I launder it, if it isn't then I air it outside in the sun till it dries and no longer smells of NM. Once you have the bed all cleaned up it is time to think about a mattress protector ( I do mean a water proof kind). For an adult cat you would need a large or XL crate but for a tiny kitten the medium size worked well for me."
