After the machine is assembled, you just fill the water tank with solution and start cleaning (see photo of machine upright and loaded, ready to go). This machine has two modes: one called “express clean” that doesn’t get your carpet soaking wet (Bissell says the dry time is about an hour, but that is subjective based on humidity levels, temperature, shag depth, and other factors), and “deep clean mode”, which basically loads your carpet with soapy water (see photo close up of cleaning head in action) that you brush in using a straight push forward motion, then suck out with a straight pull back. Again, clean water out, dirty water in (see tank comparison photo), so there is visible proof that this worked well."

I will say that you must pay attention to the "Full" line on the bottom/dirty water container and empty it promptly even though the "Full" line is far below the container actually being visually or physically full."

Inside the product box the machine was tightly packaged as you would find with any cleaner or vacuum when purchased so no surprises there. It reminds me a lot of the carpet enzyme/cleaner called Rocco and Roxie which I also purchased on Amazon (another amazing product), but I like this one a bit better as it is not only an enzyme...it is an "all in one" cleaner. I've used it on puke, blood, wine, urine, feces, and just plain dirty, carpet, and I'm just so happy. It's hard having animals and being a bit of a clean freak the way that I am...and especially having light colored carpet; Terrible combination! I would love to just get rid of my carpet and put tile in, but until I have the cash, this is seriously peace of mind in a a bottle. Even has a rinse setting to pull any residue that may attract future dirt."
