While it won't damage polyurethane or faux leather, these alternative leather products derived from plastic will not allow leather conditioner to absorb and do not require conditioning products anyway. I have several pairs of leather boots, Doc Martens, Bed Stu, Diesel, etc. We knew we needed something to replenish the leather, make it feel more supple, give it back its original state (but improved), and also wanted something that would make the coloring "pop". I've noticed Beesbutter not only restores the leather, but it definitely has an effect on the dye. I ALWAYS follow the recommended instructions and let it sit on whatever I put it on for at LEAST (if not overnight) for 20 minutes so it can fully absorb in to the material. As I said, I've used it on ALL of my briefcases, and I have tobacco colored leather bags, as well as dark brown, and personally, I LOVE how my lighter colored leather gear looks after the application. If you have a beaten up, several year old leather bag, Beesbutter will make it look like new again. "If you've swiped up a little spot on the floor and your paper towel or cloth looks yucky dark & dirty, it's likely that it is residue from the very product like Bona that you thought was supposed to clean & protect it. Therein is the problem itself as I have finally discovered after 6 years of hardwood floors and using Bona products. Every time you are thinking that you are "cleaning" your investment (beautiful hardwood floors) you're creating a disaster that can be very costly to remedy. All you want to do is enjoy your beautiful floors--you Swiffer them, damp mop them, and think--yeah a little Bona will give me that satisfying feeling. At one silly, crazy time, I read the bottle on back of the Bona cleaner & it recommended using the polish. After a couple of months I began researching these products and I wanted nothing more than to get rid of all that Bona residue left on my floor. I tried vinegar, and a natural orange peel ECO friendly cleaner. I ended up with straight ammonia using a Doodle Bug scrubber mop and good old hands and knee-cleaning. A safe non-toxic cleaner or vinegar & water combo is absolutely all you need--despite manufacturer recommendations. Yes that is that yuck you keep wiping off your freshly mopped floors but can't quick figure it out. Then new home and newly added engineered hickory hardwood floors. Stop at a janitorial supply store, purchase a doodle bug (the scrubber pictured, a WHITE one, be sure it is white--the least abrasive, pour ammonia on floor in small areas and lightly loosen the residue with the scrubber."

I placed one of these is a glass of water for 30 days next to the kitchen sink. If a sink isn't used daily, these should at least dissolve if left submerged in water in 30 days. "The first year, the Bioclean creates a few blockages because it loosens the sludge and hair and that debris gets stuck in those dime size canals. I pour warm water into that cup they give you, and I stir in the dry bioclean and I let that warm cup with Bioclean sit on my counter for 20-25 minutes so these little critters can COME TO LIFE, then I pour the mix down the drain and try not to use that sink or tub for at least overnight (if not longer!).
