"Portability: I ordered the Hide Away(HA) model first for my older daughter and liked it. So when my younger daughter refused to go back to her crib to sleep, I ordered another for co-sleeping. Besides the top rail of ST can be folded in half, unlike the HA, which has just one solid steel rod. ST is easier to install than HA because the fabric are put on differently. For ST it's easy because you can put on the mesh then bend the top and side rails to position. Something interesting about the folding mechanism on ST: The hinge(or knot) in the middle of the top rail is protected with some sort of cushion. However, combined with the type of fabric they use, it is very "crunchy" and make noises when baby scratch it. I don't really need the "Hide-Away" feature since who cares if the bed is not picture perfect in a house with young kids. However, I do need the rail to be dropped down completely that I can sit on the edge comfortably for bedtime story. In my case, the rail would drop to floor at an angle that I couldn't sit on the bed without some hopping. In summary, both are good quality products I trust to put on kid's bed."

"I believe I have an updated model as compared to the description of the product in previous reviews. Unfortunately the entire family sleeping in a large king sized hotel bed is becoming less of an option. There were some key features we were looking for: * First, we wanted a bed that was economically sound :) I'm sure anyone reading this who has more than one child understands that when one kid gets something, the others have to have the same. I've had plenty of air mattresses in my time and convenience and durability have always been questionable. They have noted that the center support strap is too tight and it creates an elevated section in the middle."
"Only thing I recommend is that we bought a crib sized 2 inch foam temperpedic mattress pad to lay on top for more added comfort. I feel that as cool as this bed is it lacks comfort, but I would chalk it up to the same as a pack n play or even the comfort of a crib mattress. You definitely don't have to add the foam but we chose to and them just lay a fitted sheet over the top and call it a day."
