"That goes down to 25 with the motorized tool, and down to 7 minutes on “max mode.” The canister can also hold a good amount of dirt, and has a new mechanism that scrapes the sides of the bin when being emptied. The new soft roller cleaner head works well for hardwood floors, but on corners, I find myself having to go back with the crevice tool to finish the job. I use the direct drive cleaner head for low pile carpets, but the mini motorized tool works better for shag rugs (and car floor mats/upholstery)."
"Got mine yesterday, charged it, vacuumed my downstairs with it this morning. By the time I was finished, the skin on the knuckle at the base of my thumb was worn off from being rubbed on the handle above the switch where there is a little plastic "seam"."
"I was familiar with the V6 so I kept waiting for the battery to exhaust it's charge but it kept going. We have a long haired German Shepard and had to empty the V8 three times."
"I find it hard to believe that a company that spends a great deal of time marketing the design excellence of its product would fail so wholly at something so basic as phone customer service and parts replacement. In November I began the process of trying to replace the part thinking a simple call would take care of things, but was stymied on a few occasions by hold times above 30 minutes, and it wasn’t until December 17 when I finally had the time to 'wait it out' and speak to a representative. After he apparently pulled a demo unit out to see what I was talking about (I offered to email photos) and tried to convince me that the crimp obstructing nearly 50% of the hose diameter was part of the design, he created an order for a part and informed me that in 5-8 business days my problem would be solved. After more than 50 minutes, I reached a representative who then had to place me on a further hold to tell me that parts were not available for the vacuum since it was so new, and that in order to replace the part, I would have to replace the entire vacuum. I was told without any humor that replacing the part cannot be completed without my FIRST going to a UPS store with the vacuum and its attachments, receiving a tracking number, and then CALLING customer service back. Even glacially slow-to-adopt USPS allows callers to opt out of physical hold times and receive a phone call back in the order they were received."

"The Dyons V7 is an upgrade to the previous V6, at a cost of about $100 extra (less if you keep an eye out for deals). The suction is top-notch, the brush head can fit anywhere you need with that Dyson ball-hinge mobility, and the battery lasts long enough to get my upstairs done (900 square feet). Whether it will be worth the extra money to you comes down to a few things: battery life, noise, ease of use. That's enough extra life to get the stairs, the floors and the ceiling of my upstairs (900 square feet) - something that took two charges to do in the past. The "max" suction button has been moved from the rear to the top of the body. You can tell that Dyson is constantly looking for ways to improve, even if it is just moving a button or adjusting the size of the cup."
"My apartment is much cleaner now just because I can just grab this thing and fly over my floors rather than hauling out the vacuum cleaner and having to plug it in three different places because the cord doesn't reach. One thing to know that on max suction the battery only lasts 6 minutes. Some minor complaints is that it feels weird pushing this on my carpet. My carpet is low profile and suited for it, but it doesn't roll smooth like on wood floors. Max suction is pretty decent though and I can drag my bar stools via the suction."
"I'm done with the cheaper cordless vacs that need to be replaced in a year or two. This one has the motor on the top of the handle which makes ease of movement. I found I had very good control of the floor brush going where I wanted it to go. The wall mounted charging dock is convenient and takes up little space, also holds 2 attachments."
"I hesitated to buy this vacuum because of the price, I really considered the Shark, but when I tried to buy the Shark the company wouldn't ship it to Hawaii!!"
"I hunted, researched, shopped around for awhile, and I'm so, so, SO happy I settled on the Motorhead!"

"Pro's: easy to assemble, turns easily and rolls well, light weight, canister easy to empty, great at picking up pet fur, two settings (hardwood and carpet), worked great along edges of rooms and on the stairs, carpet setting worked ok on rugs (not as good as my traditional vacuum, as expected), battery life is ok. Con's: rollers caught up pet fur and human hair more easily than regular vacuums, remove battery to charge it (no docking station, but battery was very easy to remove, charge, install). Battery life: the battery stayed strong throughout the whole house, not once seemed weak. After finishing the house I checked the battery level and it had a third life left."
"I don't know why at 16 he spent $800 on a vacuum, but he did, and it's been his longest lasting relationship besides his mom. He loved his Electrolux so much that for years he wouldn't let me buy a new one because "they don't make them like that anymore." It has a bunch of attachments, still sucks amazing, but is incredibly bulky, hard to use and requires purchasing bags and dealing with the cord accidentally retracting a million times mid-vacuuming. After a month and a half with this new vacuum I am finally able to write a review. I love seeing how much filth I'm sucking up and it makes me want to vacuum more. There is never a weak suction, when the power runs low it shuts off. I could vacuum all day long if I didn't have to spend 3 hours waiting for it to recharge. Some times I want to get in the deep, dark places that are too hard for my vacuum to reach and it can't. It's like another armpit to shave everyday, a small extra hassle. I pushed my suctioning limits when my dog ate her bed leaving stuffing all over the house. I wanted to save myself the effort of bending over & picking up the stuffing and instead caused myself 1/2 hour of unplugging."
"It was only used for ten minutes a day, with roller brush, on two 5' X 8' rugs and two ottomans where cats like to sleep. I emptied it daily and cleaned the foam filter once a week with compressed air. (SEE: UPLOADED IMAGE) I removed the small cover that holds the spring-loaded release button and found the reason. This is inexcusable for a plug that connects two bulky halves of a vacuum cleaner and is under constant stress when in use. After testing and experimenting, I discovered that the brush would work only if the handle was twisted all the way to the right or left. After the epoxy dries, make certain that the spring loaded clip that holds the swivel head to the main housing will fit down in place between the pins. When doing my initial shopping, my first mistake was assuming that 4.5 Stars based on 1,740 reviews meant that this vacuum was a jewel. For some unknown reason, the dirt cup has developed hairline fractures all around the middle. Duct tape and epoxy are essentials in the world of cheaply made products we live in today. Even if I did have the original box to return the Hoover Linx, it would take weeks to get it repaired plus a bunch of wasted time packing, shipping and running around. My little voice is telling me that Hoover thinks that if a customer is willing to spend $150.00 for the Linx, they'll be hooked and will gladly pay forty bucks every now and then to keep it working. Trusted companies offered excellent customer service and stood by their products. Good luck reaching customer service and getting a timely and satisfactory solution to your problem. I will not suffer through the frustrating process which Hoover has the audacity to call customer service. It seems that every vacuum I've purchased over the past 20 years has had to be re-manufactured and upgraded in some way to make it work like it should. Adequate pre-market consumer testing of quality American made products in real life situations apparently vanished with the Hula-Hoop and Lava Lamp. Take a look at the two round male pins on the swivel head that plug into the female port of the main housing on the Linx. You can't see the female plug without performing a major disassembly or cutting away a nice chuck of plastic. After fighting with a loose connection on the roller brush for months, I finally went into the main housing of the Linx to expose the female plug. Unless you are familiar with cutting plastics with a Dremel, rebuilding with epoxy, electrical repair like soldering and heat-shrink insulation, don't even attempt this. The female plug consists of two SQUARE ports to accept the round male pins. I roughed up the plastic and secured the swivel head into place with epoxy careful not to impede the up and down movement. Instead, for whatever reason, they opted to sell an expensive product designed to fail early on."

"Does anyone make a cordless vacuum that works for more than a dozen vacuum sessions? I will see how it is doing in a few weeks and provide an update. UPDATE 2: I didn't need to wait a few weeks. They said that they will be correcting the problem with the design of the vacuum roller brush and expect to have the new design available in about a month. I just received it yesterday (June 2017) so will update in a few weeks as to whether the changes solved the problem. UPDATE 4 (FINAL): The updated model was not able to hold up to pet fur after all (we have a couple large dogs, including a Newfoundland mix). The 3rd photo shows the result of that hair accumulating in that area - it finally caused the piece that receives the roller brush to break off."
"I don't worry about it tipping over or breaking from being rough with it as some other cheap cordless vacuums that I've owned in the past. I could actually see the minute dust and dirt particles on my hardwood floors even with my overhead soft white LED bulbs on. The 4 LEDs on the front do a great job of illuminating the path the HomeVac will take and allows me to actually see dirt and dust get sucked into the filter bin. There's not cords to plug in; just power on and swivel around with the LEDs guiding me to the dusty parts of the room. Now I will have to see if Eufy makes standalone handheld vacuum duster as I would like one to clean my shelves and desks."

"I did major comparison shopping for a new canister vacuum as I wanted a tough unit capable of cleaning wood floors as well as carpet, strong power for sucking up cat hair and the ability to have the unit roll on wheels but light enough to carry up stairs if needed."
"I've tried 8 different vacuums over the last handful of years...some borrowed, some purchased...in order to find a product that works on my wooden floors."
"The suction power is variable and this is great because you can vary it depending on the surface you are cleaning, a really nice feature! The Miele is also great for cleaning wooden floors when you use the special parquet floor brush."
"I don't have carpet anymore but I bought this vacuum when we were changing from carpet to LVP flooring."
"I highly recommended this product if you are vacuuming a house that has mostly hardwood and tile flooring."
"It has full capacity and makes complete use of the vacuum bags but is still not a massive canister."
"Wonderful vacuum cleaner."
"Love the powerful suction and extra attachments."

"It reminds me of things I bought in the past which I wasn't sure I needed, but once I started using them, wondered why I had waited so long. I've watched it disappear under low end tables and thought, "uh, oh, I'm going to have to rescue it from that tight space", and then it whirs, reverses, backs, jogs, tilts, and exits the maze and keeps on cleaning. Note to those who have trouble connecting it to their home wifi network: I had the same problem, but found I needed to stand very close (4-5 feet) to the unit when I started the network sync up, then everything went smoothly."
"We have a mixture of laminate floors, tile and carpet in our house, and we have 4 cats and 2 dogs that continuously shed so keeping the floors clean is a challenge. I use the DEEBOT about 3 times a week to clean the entire house and it keeps my floors super clean. I use the Spot Option every day to pick up the cardboard from the cat scratcher that my cat shreds, it's super easy to direct it to the spot I want cleaned and let it do it's thing. The DEEBOT is very easy to empty and the trash bin holds a lot for such a tiny vacumn and the filters are easy to clean, they even provide you with a special tool to clean the filters and roller."
"Also the fact that Roombas are well known to not do a great job on carpet unless you buy the really expensive one and even then some people complain. Upon arrival I unboxed it and noted the high quality engineering, extra side brushes and spare filter. I let it run for about 30 minutes, then checked the pickup bin and was horrified at the amount of stuff this thing got off my man-cave carpet. Not a huge deal of course, but added a small 1-2lb piece of metal in the bottom would really improve the feel and stability of the station. Reluctantly I decided to check the catch bin and again was horrified at the amount of debris it picked up.. Where did it find all of those toenail clippings??? My wife was 100% impressed with how incredibly well it cleaned our first floor - a mix of rugs and hardwood. (Android) I had great difficulty getting the Deebot to connect to the app then realized why - I had AP Isolation on between SSID's.. Alternatively, you can put the Deebot into WLAN mode and connect directly to it from your phone/app using it's built in hotspot. So much so, I purchased a second one a couple days later since my wife refused to give up the little guy for the main floor. We have a dog and a cat, and kids.. We literally have to vacuum everyday to keep the house feeling and looking clean. I can imagine saving hundreds of hours of work over a year or two AND having a much cleaner home."

"I've owned 3 of the original, better well known robot vacs and I always felt like none were really engineered to work in a real family environment (area rugs, pets, kids, etc...). I saw a review combined with a low price alert on one of the many gadget blogs I read and I accidentally bought this thing... I'm pretty sure the algorithm for moving around objects in the other robot vacs was better, but the algorithms don't mean much when the gadget can't effectively do its main purpose."
"We have owned several roomba early models over the years, and we have been mostly underwhelmed with overall suction, noise, and pickup power for the $300~$500 range robot vacuums. Skeptical but curious, we picked this "little RoboVac that could" on a whim, without expecting much given its' very reasonable price. This overgrown hockey puck eats more socks and stray underwear than our dogs! The suction on this compact little dust demon is so strong that the exhaust port on its side, makes our curtains billow from 5 feet away, while on MAX mode. In standard cleaning mode, our Euphy runs well over two hours on a single charge. Full disclosure, I sadistically tucked away the charging station three rooms away. This little dust, dirt, dog-hair, underwear, sock, phone charging cable gobbling little robot vacuum."
"The Eufy has only finished one vacuum cycle, so I clearly can't speak to longevity, but just some general early observations for anyone considering this brand new model. It picked up a lot of cat hair that the Roomba wouldn't have, and the floors look just as good as they do when we do a full vacuuming. The one issue I did find with this was that for things like chairs with dust ruffles, the Roomba would have gone right through the dust ruffle to clean under the chair, but the Eufy views it as a solid vertical surface and turns around to go somewhere else. Overall we're very happy with it so far, and my mind is blown that in three years, Anker managed to make a vacuum so much better than our old Roomba at around half the price."
"Small and quite quiet. Dust bin the size of vermont. Dog hair disappeared."

"I originally had the cordless freestyle shark vacuum & when it finally gave out after a year I needed to buy another vacuum. But I feel that it works much better on carpet then tile or wood floors."
"It's Lightweight & Flexible, Easy to remove dust container, simply detach and empty the contents straight into the bin."
"It's not meant for high-volume, deep cleaning, but works great as a maintenance tool."
"This is better than I expected-it lasts a long time & maintains power on a charge, so light & easy to use, it has 'headlight' which makes it easy to see in dim areas and the handheld detaches so easily!"
"Bought this for the wife as our eureka won't run long."
"I was skeptical about purchasing a brand of vacuum that I had never heard of - but let’s just say - awesome!!!"
"It has a hard time getting up the dirt in the grout lines in the tile and takes so long to use that it might be easier to haul out the full sized vacuum."
"Vacuum power got weaker every time I use it. Had to work on same spot for 7 times on carpet, and the little crump is still inside the carpet."

Reviews
"Before getting this product I would go downtown to one of those car wash places and poke an endless supply of quarters into a bulky commercial vacuum cleaner. This has never been a pleasant experience since the car wash vacuum cleaners always seem to come with large barely-flexible, cumbersome hoses equipped with an over-wide nozzle ill-suited to clean the hard-to-reach places in your car."
"However, I seriously don't have the space for a large shop vac so the compact size of this is so great yet it performs as strongly as the large sizes. One typically runs and hides while the other follows me around barking madly at it--but with this little shop vac they even kept coming up to it while I'm using it with no barking. So I promptly turned off the water, changed the filter from the cloth to the water filter in this little vac and proceeded to test its wet suction! I haven't tried the wet part yet or the "blow" part either but if the suction works this well, then I'm sure I'll have no worries."
"NOTE: for fireplace ashes and drywall dust, which are extremely fine, the manufacturer recommends an optional fine filter, and this is important, as the powdery dust from ashes will work through a regular filter and burn out the motor. If you do (and I did) hardly any ash gets through to the filter over the motor, and you can simply remove the bag and drop it in the garbage instead of turning the canister over and dumping the ashes in a choking cloud of dust."
"In fact, I decided to get rid of my much bigger "shop-vac" I've used in my workshop [which is a little awkward to move about my small shop."
"I love this little guy."
"Good shop vac for the money, however."
"It also comes with an attachment to clean the car's air vents as they can become dusty."

"I never thought I’d be writing a review on a vacuum cleaner, but in this case after having had Dyson's for over 15 years this one earns a mention. My reviews are normally pretty long-winded, but I feel there's a lot to cover here for a product you hope to only buy once and service you for many years. The Dyson is no champion in this department either as it’s entirely plastic and I’ve replaced pieces many times over the years. This seems to be rugged enough in places that matter, and I’m pleased to find the extension tube is made of metal. Overall the weight and size make it an excellent choice for those with petite builds or senior citizens. Some parts are quite handsome, but the general appearance of the tank is industrial at best, and just a bit cluttered over all. Ergonomically the Dyson has obviously had some top flight industrial engineers working on it, as everything is snug, streamline and compact in the ways all the parts fit together. Once you know how to reconfigure the Dyson to extend the hose, it makes sense but does have a bit of a learning curve. The “Lift-Away” canister allowing it to detach from the base is absolutely brilliant, and makes cleaning things like stairs, blinds, ceiling cobwebs etc. Here it’s on the side, and winding the cord really works best only going one direction as the lower clip is tucked in and a bit out of the way. Additionally, the red 2 position on/off rocker switch looks like it came right off the parts rack of a radio shack. A higher pitched whirring sound with the Shark can be heard opposed to the deeper Dyson Roar on the carpet. Another nice feature the Shark has is a little ring you can turn to cut down on the suction if it’s becoming too hard to push. On my cut pile carpet the Shark leaves brush marks, think of a rake on sand opposed to just the flat sweep I'm used to with a Dyson. Cleaning/Hardwood Floors. The supplied Dust Away attachment with the detachable pad is a clever little extra that acts like a Swiffer on steroids. It works quite well right up to the wall, as well as sucking up all that dust and grit that manages to make its way in between gaps of the plank style hardwood floors. You will still need to do the occasional wet mopping as things just get stuck on the floors, but for regular cleaning this is a nice option to have. Pros. - inexpensive. - lightweight. - easy to use. - swivel base easy to maneuver. - incredibly powerful. - suction control. - fantastic filter system. - bag free design. - 2 position power switch (motorized brush head on/off). - motorized brush head with blockage/jam indicator light. - motorized brush head viewing window. - portable lift-away canister for easy cleaning of stairs or hard to access areas. - hardwood/tile floor attachment. - pet upholstery attachment. - 30’ cord. - easy cord release. - 5 year warranty. Cons. - questionable aesthetics/ergonomics. - fussy design. - some materials a little flimsy. - no soft brush attachment. - dustbin door release at bottom means possible contact with contents. - motorized head only 11” wide. Wow, that’s it. While I’m not a huge allergy sufferer, I had no idea how much crap was being blown back in the air with the Dyson. Combine these features with a lightweight, easy to maneuver and hard-sucking product they’ve fulfilled their promise. While ergonomically lacking behind the Dyson, they’ve hit a good balance of features and performance, cutting corners where it would be least noticed and giving the consumer every bit from their hard earned dollar. I was dubious of Shark because of infomercials etc., but now I know they’re not throwing their money away on fancy packaging or industrial design with questionable returns."
"I bought the vacuum a month ago and so far, the suction is amazing (especially compared to my old piece o' crap vacuum that I purchased at that chain store with all the people shopping in their PJs)! It has lots of features (hardwood cleaning and included attachments too), it is lightweight, and it is very versatile!"
"It makes me laugh when I read reviews where people complain about how often they have to empty the dust canister. You had to reach into the dust canister on the older Lift Away and yank out dirt-encrusted clumps of hair and carpet fibers every time you tried to empty it. Even though the original Lift Away was advertised as having a HEPA filter, until people started complaining, it did not come with one unless you bought it directly from Shark. - 30 foot long power cord - 5 feet longer than the original Lift Away. Shark is finally using better quality electrical cord so it no longer bends and kinks. Turn the beater bar off when you are cleaning solid surface flooring so you don't mar the finish. It easily removes pet fur from furniture, stairs, bedding, etc., and is great for cleaning your car. - The short hose that leads from the body of the vacuum to the beater bar head and provides the suction no longer comes loose like it does on the first Lift Away. With the press of a button, you can use the shorter hose with your attachments or the longer extension wand. It tips over every single time and makes using the Lift Away mode a real workout. The Dust Away attachment with the microfiber pads is for solid surface flooring under furniture, not for carpets. A couple of LED lights would help in dark areas without adding a lot of weight. This tool does an outstanding job getting pet hair off of furniture and stairs and it's terrific for cleaning your car. I spend far too much time unwinding hair from the beater bar and dislodging caked on dander and dust from the guts of the turbo brush. Shark should take a good long look at the Dyson mini turbine brush (smaller, lighter, better designed, and better built) and learn something. Shark finally appears to have noticed the years of negative reviews of their abysmal customer service. I called recently and they actually listened to my problem and were quite pleasant about it (huge improvement right there), but nothing was resolved. The call ended with an automated customer satisfaction survey where I could now rate my unsatisfactory experience. The Lift Away Pro is a decent quality vacuum cleaner, so you just have to hope that you won't need to deal with customer service. Buy your Lift Away Pro locally and give it a real workout while you can still return it to the store if you have problems. You can exchange it or get your money back without having to pay huge shipping costs or go without a vacuum cleaner for weeks like you would if you dealt directly with Shark. Life's too short to deal with the hassle of trying to make Shark honor a warranty."

"This cat is a litter flinger."
"At first I did not like the fact that it could not be hung up on the wall with the charger plugging into it like my previous dustbusters. The fact that it is Lithium Ion is great that it should last longer and perform better than previous nicad batteries."
"3- Each time after vacuuming. you need to really clean the inside good - otherwise, next time will not get the good suction."
"Can I express my love for a vacuum? This vacuum is top notch!"
"Early in the squash season (summer squash and zucchini are the stink bug’s favorite prey) I lift stink bug eggs from the leaves of my plants with duct tape. In defense of my helpless plants this year, I started vacuuming stink bugs from my plants every day and flushing them down the toilet. I can suck up lots of stink bugs before I have to empty the vacuum. PICTURES: I am including pictures of the vacuum full of stink bugs as well as a shot of stink bugs in the garden. It does a great job sucking up stink bugs as they cling to leaves and straw and I can only imagine how great it would be at cleaning up stuff that doesn’t resist being sucked into it."
"So I was worried about buying this hand vacuum because some of the reviews said the suction isn't very strong and/or it dies fast and doesn't stay charged. I have two dogs who always tracks dirts inside when they go out and come back and a rabbit who sheds insanely."
