"The Dirt Devil was a decent product but quit working after 2 years. Decided to buy the top of the line this time, and if this one didn't work out, I am done with robotic pool cleaners. Still cleaning like a champ. My only concern is longevity, but with a 3 year warranty I feel at least somewhat confident that this will go the distance."
"We have a busy schedule and don't have the luxury of time to manually go around pool with traditional vacuum to get dirt out every day. Pool construction is just about done but we've used the cleaner probably around 20 times already as landscaping around the inground pool (plus the constant high winds we've had lately) keep the pool dirty thus requiring the use of the robot. I find myself washing them with hose after almost every time which is the reason I stop using them for the time being. I think those are mainly for a pretty clean pool. Until the pool is done being landscaped, I'll stick with the big bag made of canvas. The unit only seems to run a process for about an hour and this cannot be adjusted to my knowledge for say 2 or 3 hours at a time. The buttons on power pack are only for how many times a week but who actually uses the robot like that? The robot constantly gets stuck straddling those hopper lines where is doesn't have a flat surface to run on."
"Its filter volume is too small compared to polaris, it is hard to access the filter, it just hangs out in the middle of the swimming pool, it does not got to two ends of the pool."
"So much for the "no nonsense warranty" Maytronics advertises on their web site and their promise of rapid repairs and modular design (direct quote from their site is below): "Rapid Repairs: we understand that you didn't invest in a robotic cleaner to manually clean your pool. Why in the world do I have to pay quite a bit for sending the whole product, including the power box to them, and be out of service for at least a week+ when the only thing that needs to be done is the replacement of one of the "DIY component in about 10 minutes?""
"The product seems to be working fairly well, though I see it occasionally passing over top of the smaller particles and not gathering them."

"We put an in-ground pool in this summer, a big one, 20' by 40', slide, heater, diving board, 12 ft. deep end, 3 stairs, and a safety ledge which runs the length of both 40' sides. I narrowed my selection down to either a Dolphin or a Polaris model, both of which could be serviced locally, then began searching online. After a lengthy search and then a comparison of my final 3 choices, I went with the Dolphin N+ model, for the following reasons which were stated in the item description: Size and weight of item was manageable for a single individual to move, put in, and remove from pool. Able to clean safety ledge, steps, walls, floor, no problem, 4WD. Extra long cord should allow sucky to clean all parts of my large pool with ease. Even better, the new sucky is amazing, and every thing said about him is indeed true, if I was to complain about him at all, it would be that his ledge and stair work leaves behind a bit of sand (salt water pool, sand filter), a very tiny bit, and I'd advise that you also purchase the storage stand, which isn't included but is sold separately, it gives a place to store the battery off the ground during use, a place to wrap the cord, and a little seat for sucky to rest on when he's not at work, and nice big wheels to move the whole thing around, similar to a moving dolly, but made especially for sucky. CONCLUSION: love purchase, easy to return and replace, does a great job, even on large pools, and reasonably priced."
"If however, you could go through life and never miss having to vacuum again, then just fork out the cash, buy this guy, toss him in your pool and sand, leaves and debris be gone!"
"I had to use my net to get out a lot of leaves, but otherwise, the unit cleaned the pool after a dirty fall and winter and was done in about 2 hours. Anyhow, was very easy to clean out - tons of yeck in the filters and cleaned up quick."
"It cleans very thoroughly, it doesn't get stuck on the drains, and covers the whole pool very well -- all of this is significantly better than the SharkVac that I had before it."
"The removeable filters are much better than the bags on the old one, and the ability to schedule a cleaning routine for a week is a real plus."
"It took 2 days (2 runs at 2 hours each run), but after the pool had sat neglected for several weeks (I'm the new owner), it was in bad shape with tons of leaves at the bottom of the pool, sides and on the steps."
"It cleans loose debris on the floor of our 60'x20' pool with variable depth almost perfectly, turning off after a few hours."
"absolutely amazing cleaning product."

"So I decided for sure that I wanted a robot to help with the maintenance and did a ton of research. There werent very many directions in the box as I was looking to read them first instead of just doing what I usually do and play with the new item and potentially break it. The fan at the top starts to blow out water and the bot takes off. Anyways it bounces all around the pool, sometimes up the wall, and picks up most of what it runs over through two rectangular holes on the bottom that feed into the filter areas. Once it is close enough to the edge reach in and FLIP IT OVER, this way the dirt wont come out when you pull it out. Some people complained about dirt coming out as they removed it from the water, flipping it over is a simple fix. (not much) Would a top handle be nice, sure, but that wouldnt eliminate the dirt coming out of the bot when removing it. By the way it does this because the filter area is full and the trap doors are slightly open still. Two of them together make one filter collection area above one of the two holes in the bottom of the robot that I mentioned before. The filter area pops out of the bottom of the robot really easy with just two levers holding it in. The grids themselves pop off the whole assembly for a nice easy clean up with the hose. I read a lot of reviews on other cleaners and the "bag collector" as opposed to the grids. Had an algae problem for a little while and this thing helped suck up all the nasty green stuff. Because of the randomness from the route it sometimes doesnt hit every spot on the pool floor."
"The Dolphin runs for approximately 2 hours, and picks up lots of bugs, leaves and dirt. Starting it is easy - plug the power box into an outlet, plug the Dolphin into the power box, place the Dolphin in the water, swaying it back and forth to release air bubbles, feed cord into the pool, and turn on the power. Dolphin moves in a random pattern all over the pool, much like a Roomba on a carpet. We have a small metal cart (the ones that old ladies use for groceries), and it works great to haul all the cord, power box, and vacuum back to the garage. - It actually climbs up the walls and comes part way out of the pool while cleaning to get the edges."
"Having not heard back from them, I called 1-888-DOLPHIN and reached a customer support representative who gave me an e-mail address to send the attached pictures and explain the damage. After a long and difficult conversation with several of their representatives, their manager said "I have received a response from the Repair Center manager, he reviewed the pictures you submitted and confirmed that this would not be considered a manufacturing defect."

"I've owned 3 of the original, better well known robot vacs and I always felt like none were really engineered to work in a real family environment (area rugs, pets, kids, etc...). I saw a review combined with a low price alert on one of the many gadget blogs I read and I accidentally bought this thing... I'm pretty sure the algorithm for moving around objects in the other robot vacs was better, but the algorithms don't mean much when the gadget can't effectively do its main purpose."
"We have owned several roomba early models over the years, and we have been mostly underwhelmed with overall suction, noise, and pickup power for the $300~$500 range robot vacuums. Skeptical but curious, we picked this "little RoboVac that could" on a whim, without expecting much given its' very reasonable price. This overgrown hockey puck eats more socks and stray underwear than our dogs! The suction on this compact little dust demon is so strong that the exhaust port on its side, makes our curtains billow from 5 feet away, while on MAX mode. In standard cleaning mode, our Euphy runs well over two hours on a single charge. Full disclosure, I sadistically tucked away the charging station three rooms away. This little dust, dirt, dog-hair, underwear, sock, phone charging cable gobbling little robot vacuum."
"The Eufy has only finished one vacuum cycle, so I clearly can't speak to longevity, but just some general early observations for anyone considering this brand new model. It picked up a lot of cat hair that the Roomba wouldn't have, and the floors look just as good as they do when we do a full vacuuming. The one issue I did find with this was that for things like chairs with dust ruffles, the Roomba would have gone right through the dust ruffle to clean under the chair, but the Eufy views it as a solid vertical surface and turns around to go somewhere else. Overall we're very happy with it so far, and my mind is blown that in three years, Anker managed to make a vacuum so much better than our old Roomba at around half the price."
"Small and quite quiet. Dust bin the size of vermont. Dog hair disappeared."
