Reviews
"This set comes with a small practice amp, cable to attach guitar to amp, nylon guitar strap, a few pics, a guitar tuner, and a gig bag, which by itself sells for $19. Well not only is the guitar in this set a really good quality guitar, you get the periphery items that will definitely work for you as you're just starting out, that you will very much most likely upgrade after you figure out what you want. The cable that attaches to the guitar and to the amp is about ten feet long, one end is right angled. The nylon strap that connects to the guitar that you wear over your shoulder is highly adjustable, and could probably be adjusted down or up to fit a small child or a very large adult. The pics it comes with are just as good as any other pics. Since purchasing this set, I've upgraded the case to a hard case for travel, bought some new pics, and bought a Snark tuner,(."
"There was a time when budget guitars screamed cheap and were quite obviously low class in a lot of areas. This is probably due to market data that tells Epiphone that the bulk of buyers for this guitar are teen Guitar Heros who think that string bending every note is an essential aspect of shredding and wailing. If you plan to put heavier strings on the guitar (like 12-51s for example) for jazz or other styles of music then you will probably need a truss rod adjustment to compensate for the added tension. Once again, the differences involved will probably be irrelevant when added into all the other things that players do with amps, strings and pedals to create tone and sound from an electric guitar. The example guitar shown in the official Epiphone product photos, the photos you see on most web sites like Amazon and Musician's Friend and so forth, are probably a little optimistic when it comes to visible grain and the golden hued quality of the sunburst finish. The world is full of guys who will zero in on all the details they find inferior about this guitar by noting the rather obvious fact that this is not a Gibson Les Paul Standard costing $3,000.00. But, considering the fact that every Fender Stratocaster ever made had a bolt on neck, is this really a big deal? Would Jimi Hendrix have played "Purple Haze" better if his Strat had a set in neck?"
"I'm not a professional and only started playing electric guitars for the past two years, but I have to say that this guitar is way better than the Strat. It is a very heavy guitar and I would recommend a strap with locks so you don't damage it if it slips the strap holes."
"If you're looking to play this with Rocksmith, get the "Rocksmith 2014" version instead of the original game."
"Love this guitar, came well packed."

"After getting the first test guitar set up and tuned and after playing it for about an hour ( I like to play when the guitar is in tune) I ordered 2 more of these kits (2 blue, 1 green per the boys preference) and one junior kit for the youngest boy > RED Junior Kids Mini 3/4 Electric Guitar Amp Starter Pack, Guitar, Tremolo, Amplifier, Gig Bag, Strap, Cable, & DirectlyCheap(TM) Translucent Blue Medium Guitar Pick <. TO be honest , right out of the box they played terrible. This is true for even new expensive guitars - they all need to be set up. Depending on how badly these are not set up properly this can take an hour or two, but if you are even a novice player, if you can watch you tube, there are instructions galore on how to set up an electric guitar. ( I neglected to consider how short his fingers are at this age, but he will grow into it, and have fun messing around with it until then.). My preference are standard size, medium to thin and if you can find the ones that aren't smooth they will be less likely to slip out of your fingers. As a player and former performer I recommend these units as a great way to get anyone started in playing music with very little expense."
"The "gig bag's" zipper handle broke the first day and the whammy bar has stiffened up to the point where quite some noticeable effort must be put into moving it."
"I ordered this knowing that it wouldn't be professional quality, however I'm still impressed at how much better the guitar was than I expected."
"This product was more than I expected."
"When my son opened this up for Christmas the smile on his face was a picture perfect moment."
"I am BLOWN AWAY by this things quality!"
"Bought this for my husband!"
"If you're thinking about playing guitar but want to to test one out before deciding that you would like to pursue the hobby, this guitar would be good because it cheap and Won't Leave a dent in your wallet."

Reviews
"I had heard about p90 pickups, but never played them before. I had heard about how feedback prone a hollowbody could be, and this one lived up to that reputation."
"Fit and finish is really nice although the gold binding is a little odd where the neck meets the body, no a dealbreaker."
"It sounds amazing (I was just playing on my Vox mini 3, can't wait to hear it on my tube amp) and plays so smoothly."
"although there is one thing that seems off.. the finish of the bigsby bridge is coming off!! I don't really care about the finish coming off I could always send it and have it fixed but its a really good guitar."
"sounds and plays amazing, a little heavy I suggest a wider strap."
"Sounds great right out of the box."
"One other pleasant surprise was the way this dude stays in tune. This is my first guitar with a Bixby on it; and I was afraid the thing might not stay in tune well."
"It was set up very well right out of the box, everything works perfect, and this one stays in tune, although I will be changing to a roller bridge soon, as I like using the Bigsby a lot."

Reviews
"I was able to place the sockets in such a way that I can still lay the guitar on my lap comfortably when I don't want to use the legs. I am planning on getting a pedal steel in the near future, and this guitar has been a great way for me to get into steel guitar. I have been able to work on many aspect of my steel guitar technique with this instrument, and I think it has been a great introductory steel."
"I also like that it is not as large as some other new lap steels found on the internet, which is good as I like playing the lap steel in my lap, not on a stand."
"It holds tune amazingly, the pickup sounds great through a tube amp, the finish is flawless and interesting, and the playability of this instrument is great!"
"If you are just wanting to start out in the world of Lap Steel, this Gretsch is a good choice ... the choices of beginner's Lap Steels are sparse ... what you DON'T want is something so inferior as to be uninspiring, hard to play or very poor in the sound department ..."
"I love this thing!"
"I've been playing dobro for the last 5 years and have always loved the sound of steel guitar."
"My favorite."
"Great lap guitar This is different to me and I love it already."

Best Acoustic-Electric Guitars

Full size guitar that you can play acoustic or plugged in!. Play it acoustically or plugged in!
Reviews
"i get some for young people who cannot afford to get one for themselves and so have started exploring the guitars in the price range of 80 to 140 dollars. at first glance, it would seem pretty much impossible for any guitars in this price range to be of any worth, but the factories are set up to put out fine instruments now in this price range. one was 600 dollars and the other 300 dollars but they were no better than this."
"It holds its tune as good as my Ovation and Ibanez acoustics as well as my 2000 dollar PRS guitar."
"Something I really like about these Jameson guitars is that they're offered in a variety of finishes. The black finish is solid black, the natural finish is a light wood grain color, and the pink model is a solid pink throughout."
"Best thinline for the price sound is great."
"The Finish is excellent, the neck is. fairly fast & basically the shape & size I had hoped for...sort of a Vintage. feel. This makes finger picking much easier due to my finger size.I haven't. placed a scale on it but it is "at least" 1.750 inches wide. I have a "very aged" 40 year old Rosewood Body & Spruce Top Guitar. that has been played almost every day of that 40 years."
"I keep asking people, "how does this guitar sound?" This guitar also has incredible sustain."

"Arrived fast, in great condition and a good guitar for the price."
"It's not like a luthier made this, definitely a factory in China, but you'll be surprised with how nice this plays."
"The gig bag doesn't offer a whole lot of protection, but it does have some light padding and will do just fine for storing it at the house. (Edit 7/12/13 - the picture has been changed and the tuner that is now shown is the one that I received). 2) the extra string pack was missing, but Amazon CS more than made up for that. I'm not letting either of those little quirks affect my 5 star rating, because overall I feel like this is a great package for someone who is taking their first steps in learning how to play."
"But do not buy this guitar if the instructional dvd is one of the reasons your buying it."
"My one complaint- why in the world would the seller put an advertisement sticker on the body of the guitar???"
"Item arrived as scheduled."
"I Ordered the natural finish and this guitar is gorgeous. Unfortunately the case has a defective latch but I will not return the bundle because I received a great guitar with a beautiful "voice"."
"There were Knicks, dents, stain black mark and scratches on it at day one and there appears to be blood on the sixth string.."

"When she asked for this specific model, I was concerned she was going to be disappointed because it was so inexpensive and came with so much extra stuff -- I thought it would be cheaply made."
