Find Best Price at Amazon"I want to start by saying that most of the very few negative reviews on here are because these individuals do not know how to set up a guitar, or know that most new guitars need to be set up in the first place. These are not necessary, but for all the reviewers who say this doesn't sound as good as some of the nice ones, put the new saddle on and the new strings, set the action, torque the truss rod, and you have yourself a wonderful sounding guitar. If you are new to guitar, I would highly recommend taking it to a guitar shop and having them set your action. For anyone experienced with guitars, the sound quality will be pretty good stock, but to make it resonate and sound full bodied and amazing (like a true solid spruce top guitar) change out the saddle for a TUSQ or something equivalent and buy some Ernie ball Earthwood medium light 80/20 strings. I keep referring to the action, this is the amount of space between the frets and the strings, it is the most crucial part of setting up a new guitar and will make ease of playing, sound quality and the whole experience fantastic. DO NOT waste your money on any other cheap guitar out there, and remember... when you buy a new guitar, it needs to be set up!"

"There was a time when budget guitars screamed cheap and were quite obviously low class in a lot of areas. This is probably due to market data that tells Epiphone that the bulk of buyers for this guitar are teen Guitar Heros who think that string bending every note is an essential aspect of shredding and wailing. If you plan to put heavier strings on the guitar (like 12-51s for example) for jazz or other styles of music then you will probably need a truss rod adjustment to compensate for the added tension. Once again, the differences involved will probably be irrelevant when added into all the other things that players do with amps, strings and pedals to create tone and sound from an electric guitar. The example guitar shown in the official Epiphone product photos, the photos you see on most web sites like Amazon and Musician's Friend and so forth, are probably a little optimistic when it comes to visible grain and the golden hued quality of the sunburst finish. The world is full of guys who will zero in on all the details they find inferior about this guitar by noting the rather obvious fact that this is not a Gibson Les Paul Standard costing $3,000.00. It also comes with picks, but you can throw those away - you shouldn't play the uke with a pick it makes it sound abrasive and shrill. A NOTE ABOUT TUNING: There's a misperception that a "good" ukulele stays in tune once you've tuned the strings. Strings change tune radically with even slight shifts in humidity or temperature. If you keep your uke in a house with an HVAC it should stay in relatively good tune (once the new strings have had a chance to stretch a bit), but if you take it outside to go to a friend's house or to school, the strings will need to be re-tuned before you play - anytime the environment changes, the strings will be affected to a certain degree. Finally, somebody explained to her the physics of instrument strings and they started tuning right before they went out to perform."

"I was able to pick one up on a lightning deal for $89 and it's well worth that price, however, I've had a few problems with it from day one that have since been rectified. Number one, I had to ship the first one back because one of the screws that holds the microphone into place was stripped out. Finally we can talk about the good and what should matter most when you are purchasing an expensive USB microphone and that is the sound quality -- it's excellent. If you are streaming a podcast or recording scratch audio for video production like I use it for, this microphone is really great."
