Depending on where you are mounting it (night stand, computer desk, stud on the wall) the length of the screw you're going to use is going to vary obviously. Mine is currently mounted to the inside of my computer desk using 4 lag screws from Home Depot and one nut/bolt/washer combo (had to drill the hole on the plate myself). The only way a burglar is going to get access to that firearm is by breaking down the computer desk first, then taking the whole safe with him so he can pry it open later at his leisure. Another issue is the thumb screws provided (mounts the vault itself to the base plate), they are small as well and also a weak point."
