My first message was sent March 13 and they replied rather quickly asking if I could ship the device back to them and then offered to refund the cost of the machine. I sent follow-up emails in April, May, and June and was given the runaround the first two months until finally they completely stopped responding."

My original review: This is perfect for pet parents who want to auto feed their four-legged kids on a daily basis. Instead of filling separate meal chambers, this style of feeder allows you dump a ton of food in and let it go. For me though, I rely on my little fuzzy alarm clock to annoy me out of bed in the mornings, and really just need something for the weekends and short getaways. It does have a power button on the bottom, so I could just fill it up then shut it off during the week, but I'd feel bad teasing my little long-tailed darling with a dormant canister of food in the living room. The rotating rudder that pushes food into the exit chamber doesn't touch the bottom, and doesn't extend very far, so it can't sweep much beyond the center. The minus: the first morning I tried it the thing woke me up.... out of nowhere I hear my own voice shout out from the other room, "Tinker!"

"I believe the key to this success is the cleaning of the fountain AND the pump. This allows us to clean the gunk that gets built up inside the fountain. Then remove the front, and place pump in a cup of warm water with a tsp of powder dish detergent. This circulates the water and detergent to clean the spinning mechanism inside. If your pump is so bad the spinning mechanism does not spin, simply soak the pump in the water and detergent for a couple of hours, then flush well with clean water and try again."
"I have three small/medium sized dogs and a cat, living together, and drinking from the same fountain without complaint. The replacement filters are easy to find, and are usually cheapest here on Amazon with an order eligible for free shipping. They are easy to change out, simply pull out the old one from the top, drop in the new (make sure to rinse it under the faucet first to wash away loose carbon soot). When running very low, it can emit a buzzing vibration sound from the pump, which acts as a decent reminder to refill. It has a large, clear reservoir tank to easily see how much water is left. The reservoir tank is also easy to remove and refill, with minimal spillage while doing so. For some senior folks, or those with limited arm strength, this could be a real problem. Sounds simple to do, but the inside of this fountain is the exact opposite of the outer design. There are so many little nooks and crannies for debris and bacteria to collect in, and sharp internal corners abound. It is easy enough to break it down into smaller components, But these parts themselves contain sharp internal corners too small for my average-sized hands to reach. after almost four years of continuous 24 hour use, with the exception of regular cleaning and maintenance, my pump has finally died."
