The lid can be removed very easily even if bowl of water is full in case you need to reach the food underneath. I would only suggest vendor to add a second hole on the other side of the bowl so you could remove easily but again no big deal. This is one of the best purchases I ever made for my dog and I buy a lot for him...I have attached multiple pictures to help you with your decision."
"It seals great, although a determined dog could eat through it though it is plastic after all but would keep bugs out of you had to use outside, and is not too tall for my kitten so a full grown cat would have no issues using this item. It is made in the USA, BPA free and has awesome no skid feet that are great because the room his food is in is concrete and he is a bit of a jerk."
