The first hing I noticed immediately was how easily the shampoo and conditioner rinsed off without leaving a residual feeling . After washing her I left the shampoo on for 5 minutes and massage it in, rinsed and conditioned her, which i left on for about 7 minutes. Her skin is so dry that after a bath, once her fur is dry, she is full of dandruff again. It has now been one week since I have washed her with the shampoo and conditioner, and there is not a flake of dandruff on her."

After 10 months of steroid treatments, food swaps and trying different shampoos / sprays I came across the Douxo line of products. All these products are available on Amazon or other good online pet-stores (Chewy.com etc) and so far our treatment's have not only cured any outbreaks quickly (Within a week of a scab forming the area is healed) they have also reduced his outbreaks significantly. Currently he's been on this treatment plan of ours for a month and I can say with all honesty that for the first time since we adopted him he has NO current skin issues. I want to point out that Orijen and Honest Kitchen are FANTASTIC foods that we've raised dogs on and had no issues with and I suspect that food was NOT our boys issues at all, I only bring it up so that you the reader knows we did everything we were supposed to in order to try and control his skin issues BEFORE we looked for a medicated skin product. If your like we were and searching for something to manage and treat a stubborn skin issue on your dog (or cat) then toss this in your cart and give it a try, at the very least drop a few bucks on the pads and try them at first if your dubious, the worst that can happen is you don't have the great results we did and move onto another product."

The key is to wet the dog and do a light shampooing, rinse that shampoo (you don't have to get it all out) then shampoo the dog again and really work it down to the skin. The reason for the two shampoos is that the first one breaks the oil the dog or cat naturally has while the second shampoo is able to penetrate the coat more deeply and get to the skin. If you're only shampooing your dog once, you're not getting your dog nearly as clean as you could be."
