"One note for all those people who "Like me" toss directions, there is a small piece of clear plastic with a hole in it flopping around in the box, DO NOT THROW AWAY."
"I decided to buy this after I saw the price and several good reviews.I have had this aquarium for a few weeks, now I can personally say my Betta has never been happier in his new home. The only difference I see is that it is powered by a very quiet impeller that attaches to the bottom of the filter instead of an annoying air pump. I'll list everything out for you: CONS: -Glass bowl had some imperfections- slightly warped (But not very noticeable) lip and 2 weird air bubble-looking things I found. At first I thought it was an air bubble inside that just stuck to the side of the bowl, but it actually was just imperfections in the glass. - The flat bottom of the glass bowl is only about 4-5 inches in diameter- makes it harder to put some types of plants or ornaments in. -Soothing Waterfall that also oxygenates the water- seriously, I had 2 Aponogeton plant bulbs in my old tank for 2 weeks and they haven't even started to sprout. My Betta, Finwick, was always kind of lazy in his old bowl, he would swim around sometimes, but usually just hung out on a leaf on one of the fake plants that was in it. SUGGESTIONS: -If you plan on putting a Betta or any other type of fish that is use to having little or no current, Try filling up the bowl to the lip. The carbon bits that are in it will probably be spent so it won't remove chlorine or the fishy smell, but it is a good temporary fix that will keep large particles from floating around in the tank.. Stock up on filter cartridges to prevent this from ever needing to be done."
"Only thing I worry about is if I'll be able to replace the water filter machine when it dies as they eventually do."
"I bought this 4 months ago and the "waterfall" is now more like a barely there drip."
"It really is a beautiful tank but i was a little disappointed that after I started to put together the bowl with pebbles and the fish decor that when i tried to setup the tank I noticed the water fall slider was missing... i ordered a replacement but i was a little disappointed about the missing part thats why i put three stars but other than that its a nice tank."
"This sits on my work desk."
"We got this tank for our betta to give her more room to play and also keep the tank cleaner longer."
"Great product, looks good, and a great price."

"Its a glass cube with the white cube around it for design."
"This tank is not big enough for a fish!!"
"A betta needs BARE MINIMUM 2.5 gallons, a heater, a filter, hides, and places to rest."
"I am begging you, your fish might "live" in this so called tank but it will be a miserable life, where it will be depressed, cold, and literally burning in it's own waste unless you do 100% water changes every week. There's a lot of misinformation about bettas out there, and a shocking amount of people who believe that all bettas need to survive is a small bowl of water, some food, and a water change once a month. In a tiny bowl like this, you'd have to be doing 100% water changes every single day in order for your fish to be safe from the ammonia, and even that isn't ideal- all those water changes will really stress your little buddy out :(. Also- did you know betta fish are tropical animals? but, please, think about it this way- water will always be a few degrees lower than room temperature- in order to keep your betta's home warm, your house would have to constantly be at 80p degrees!"
"Shame on designer Teddy Luong for perpetuating cruelty to Bettas by designing a tank that is too small for the Bettas optimal health and happiness."
"Don't be cruel, your fishes entire world is the environment that you are responsible to put them in."
"I agree that this is a super cute design, but maybe if they sold it in a size that actually holds more than 3 gallons of water. They deserve to have space to swim around in, plus a heater and a filter so they can enjoy warm, clean water."
"Insufficiently sized, right angled-container with nothing of sensory interest is a hellish box for fish."

"This tank is perfect for your Betta. The filter I use for all my Betta's in a 5 gallon or less set up is the Aqueon Model AT10 (internal filter). $21.99. https://www.amazon.com/Aqueon-10-Gallon-QuietFlow-Internal-Filter/dp/B00AWV4R8I. 2) Purchase a Betta heater - this tank is plastic making the inexpensive Betta heater worthwhile. Misc supplies - Omega Betta Water Conditioner $5.94 & Omega Betta Buffet pellets $6.65. https://www.amazon.com/Aqueon-06020-Betta-Conditioner-4-Ounce/dp/B003OCXQDE/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1467931051&sr=1-1&keywords=betta+water+conditioner. https://www.amazon.com/Omega-One-Betta-Buffet-Pellets/dp/B01DFT93TG/ref=sr_1_2?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1467931148&sr=1-2&keywords=omega+betta+food. 8) My Betta's thrive with Indian Almond Leaves. $7.95. https://www.amazon.com/SunGrow-Betta-Leaves-Pcs-environment/dp/B00HG1TMIW/ref=sr_1_2?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1467930944&sr=1-2&keywords=betta+leaves. Total investment to set it up correctly is about $142 plus the Betta - This is a set up that will last you years."
"Has worked great for us!"
"I'm very happy with this tank and so is my betta!"
"So here goes: I switched my Betta, Sushi, from a tetra 1.5gallon tank Tetra 29137 WaterWonders Aquarium Cube, 1.5 Gallons, Black because with the added heater in that small volume of water, it was raising temps too high. For this 3 gallon unit as is, out of the box, I cannot recommend this tank (see CONS) >>BUT<< if you are willing to spend some more on upgrading what comes with this unit, you can have quite a good and attractive tank using this tank as a starting point. 3) CUTOUTS: Has in the back right (if tank is facing you)approximately 3inch wide x 2inch deep cutout that will fit an after market filter comfortably (which this tank is going to require as the supplied filter is not recommended, see CONS). I put that in quotes because BOTH 3 gallon tanks I received actually had bowed /curved edges in the front that up close is noticeable and detracts from the neat elegant lines this tank is supposed to give off. (If I have time, I will upload pics of the bowed edges) Looking online, all pictures were flat and flush so I think this is a manufacturing defect and I ask anyone else who has this tank to chime in and let me know if they also received tanks with bent tops. Also, since the pump is separate from the filter and connected via tubing, if the power goes out, you risk having water drain out of the tank onto the floor so you would be wise to buy a check valve if you insist on keeping the supplied crappy filter/pump. You would do much better for your fish and your sanity to buy an after market filter, I suggest and reviewed the Azoo Mignon 60 filter here: AZOO Mignon Filter 60 Also, the Azoo filter fits perfectly at the back cutout and even with the extension, will easily clear the ground floor on this 3 gallon tank. 1) LIVE PLANTS: Now if you are going to just stick with the supplied LED light fixture then I can only recommend "set it and forget" plants that don't require (but it helps if you do) plant food and proper Kelvin rated light fixture. The following suggested plants should do well in low to medium light and this particular tank (they are thriving in mine with just the included LED lamp). As mentioned in my 1.5gallon review: Most people will be tempted to put in decorations, plants, etc into this tank and specific to Bettas, almost all of them will tear Betta fins or worse. This is this one I am using in this tank: "Hydor 7.5w Slim Heater for Bettas" and reviewed here: Hydor 7.5w Slim Heater for Bettas and Bowls up to 5 gal. 3) PROPER FILTER with proper inline filter products: As mentioned before, the Azoo Mignon 60 filter but that too needs a little work. B) Aqua clear sponge insert: Aquaclear 20-Gallon Foam Inserts, 3-PackThis higher quality sponge provides decent mechanical filtration i.e. traps all the big crap and junk from returning back into the tank and will provide some substrate for beneficial bacteria (not nearly as good as the Biomax though). If I have time, I will upload more recent photos of the 3 gallon setup with a mix of live and silk plants. I use it as an emergency hospital tank (hope I never need it for that purpose) but mostly just a place where Sushi is put when I'm doing the monthly thorough tear down clean of his main 3 gallon tank (remember this tank even with filter will require weekly water changes)."

Reviews
"Keep in mind the rear filter compartment is included in those measurements, and takes away about 2 inches from the actual space for your fish, plants, etc. - The "portrait" orientation of the aquarium means I can put tall ornaments or plants in it, and still have plenty of room for my floating betta log at the surface. - The light construction does flip up for easy tank access, without folding all the way back or falling forward again. Now the Cons: - The separate area at the rear for the filter is very narrow, and the horizontal supports have sharp edges; it's impossible to clean by hand back there. - The glass cover leaves tiny gaps in the front corners and the length of the back wall, which may allow small, crafty critters to escape, so be aware. Also, the black plastic cover for the filter area is flimsy and it doesn't leave much room for cords."
"There is plastic divider siliconed across the back of the tank creating a separate rear 2” compartment. The filter caddy and pump are nicely hidden in the rear compartment and there is just enough room to squeeze a small submersible heater as well (not included). The rear compartment is a really nice feature in that it hides all of the wires and accessories from the viewing area of the tank – a very clean and minimalist look. A 3" wide filter caddy sits in the rear compartment and reroutes flow from the inlet to the pump on the left side. The pump recirculates the water into the main tank compartment through a spout in the top left of the divider. As I mentioned above, there is room in the rear compartment between the pump and filter caddy that can accommodate a smaller heater, just make sure to put it low because the rear compartment tends to have a lower water level than the front compartment."
"I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this Beautiful little tank so much I bought another one."
"PROS. - beautiful tank design and dimensions. - glass. - filter is SILENT. - movable output nozzle from filter. - all lines and cords are hidden. - white and blue moonlight LED settings. - small footprint on table/desk. CONS. - base is cheap plastic and is not attached to tank. - filter flow needed to be modified for a betta: lowest setting was too high for my female veil tail."
