Find Best Price at Amazon"While not literally perfect in every way, it's has enabled me to take 3-4 day long self-contained extended bike trips on the C&O Trail in Washington, DC with a full set of camping gear under every possible condition (snow, wind, offroad, rain, sun, as well as extreme heat and cold). * Easily obtained replacement parts that cover the whole range of components, though I've only now after several years had to purchase a couple of small pieces. While the Nomad is as close to perfect a bike trailer as one could wish, there are a few minor imperfections that maybe Burley could consider addressing in the next version: Cons: * Front and rear closure system is not ideal and uses two straps that just don't stay very secure. Seems to happen only under extreme load (100+ lbs) and grueling road conditions but there's no way to absolutely secure the tire and you have to tighten in periodically (every 10-30 minutes). * Swing arm hitch makes it easy to clip your right foot as you push a bike towing the trailer, especially up a hill."

"The Nomad was a bit strange hooking up to the bike; the safety pin requires an exact match of the hitch with the trailer, which I haven't managed to do while my Trek is leaning on its kickstand. That means balancing the bike while getting the pin in the hitch - just a bit awkward, but something I think I'll get used to pretty quick. We bought about $80 worth of food, and while I'm not sure how much that weighed, it did include a gallon of milk, a bunch of veggies, and some meat - not a light load, but also not a bunch of canned goods, soda, etc."
"I stacked 2 25 inch suitcases, one on top of the other in this trailer. If Burley produces one that still allows me to expand to 2 suitcases, but provides more security, including making it more difficult to disconnect (no trailer on the market today does), I will be upgrading to it."

Find Best Price at Amazon"As a rule-of-thumb, consider it as a Chinese product of unkown quality and once you have the above issues worked out to a level you are comfortable [enough] with, you could figure it like this: The trailer is rated for 88 lbs and weighs 18 lbs, that nets 70lbs for cargo / container(s). My typical trips are: a). A 15 or 20, sometimes 40 or 50 mile round trip rides up to the park with my disc golf bag and snack / picnic stuff - etc, maybe 20 or 25 lbs, maybe with a stop at a store that I do not get to very often somewhere along the way where I may pick up 5 or 10 lbs of merchandise (25 to 40 lbs total). b). 2 to 5 mile round trip runs to the Grocery where I routinely load up 35 to 50 lbs, and on occasion have approached 70 lbs. c). 5 or 10, possibly 20 mile round trip runs to general merchandise store, essentially empty going out & 5, 10, maybe 15 lbs on the return. and. I will admit the trailer with 50 - 70 lbs on it can be quite the challenge to handle, depending on how it is loaded."

As of last week Jan. 19,2016 ,I received my full refund ,with the trailer also............. At least they lived up to proper responsibilities and so on................ Also two days later I noticed the wheel was loose ,due to the cones on the wheel axle weren't properly set when assembled? And I was contacted by Aosom the other day in regards of new parts to be sent ....when the circumstance is rectified i'll redo my review...."

"What it's not: Not made of heavy canvas or burlap, not going to last as a hand-me-down for three, five, ten families to use, not good for applications other than pavement, gravel or smooth packed earth. Impressions: The wheels "snap in" to the hub assembly so there's no magic to this; there's no solid axle, no suspension, just two greased necks that slide in, 'lock in' to metal apertures, and that's it. Every time I make a 2-mile loop around the lake in the near-by city park, I get two to four comments/compliments from joggers with kids in strollers, other bikers, etc. Finally, based on the mechanical construction, I would surmise that this one is good for occasional rides for 2-3 families with 2-3 kids. I guess that means, I wouldn't really expect to get any more than 1000 miles out of it, maybe double that if the rides are primarily with smaller kids, over smoother surfaces, and the trailer is stored in a garage."
