I was in no mood to engage in a debate over his naive, ignorance of the fact the ones [plastic ones] he regarded so HIGHLY were just pieces of crap easily break. : 1. on my particular situation, plastic nuts certainly cannot support sustained forces to keep them tight and the faucet secure. When a recently completed job BROKE AGAIN, simply due to crappy part used in the repair. [I'll never understand exactly WHY companie and/or corporations SKIMP on pieces like this, when for a few cents more they could have had a product/item that was nearly identical in quality, to the old american built NUTS from the 50's and 60's. That nut+washer+nut arrangement SHOULD provider adequate strength for most any 2 threaded tube, faucet installation. Saving 2 cents per unit won't mean crap, if consumers STOP buying your product because it was merely "borderline acceptable"."
