Find Best Price at Amazon"The defective unit threw a 'high pressure' error and I noticed that the pump would continue to run for almost 30 seconds after the call for water stopped and would then throw the error code. This is a function of the built in pressure tank within the pump that is designed to provide constant pressure. It works extremely well compared to my 7 year old Grundfos pump that had a similar design but would produce a significant pressure drop at the top before the pump kicked in. I have read about people installing external pressure tanks with this pump - not necessary in my view. 3 - the inlet and outlets on the pump will tilt a few degrees in any direction - I cannot overstate how convenient this was since I was reconnecting fairly rigid braided nylon hoses to this pump and the ability to line up the fittings was really convenient. Another plus - the fittings on the pump side will rotate within their gimbal - meaning that if you are doing a retrofit install like mine, you can turn the fittings on the pump side in order to tighten things up, as opposed to disconnecting your hose fittings to make these connections in a fixed -fitting setup. 4 - this pump has just about every feature you can ask for, including advanced programming functionality (available in the detailed installer manual that they don't include) and highly evolved onboard diagnostics. Alas, upon install within 10 minutes of use it throws a code that corresponds with 'high pressure' which can come into play when you use the pump to boost insufficient pressure coming from the city mains."

"They seem to last 3-6 yrs depending on the conditions used - mine activate on average every 2-3 minutes, sometimes as frequently as every 20 sec during a heavy storm. 2) RUBBER FLOAT LEVER BOOT: The rubber boot/seal where the float lever enters the pump cap assembly will harden over time, providing just enough resistance for the lever not to activate the pump switch (very frustrating to find the pump submerged underwater, then the slightest movement triggers the motor) - keeping this lubricated with a bit of silicone grease will help prevent or solve this problem. These will get clogged over time and can cause an unlikely 'airlock' situation where the impeller with turn freely within a pocket of air and not push any fluids."
