Blues Of Desperation
Reviews
"And a lot of people like the more restrained, polished Joe better than the early "Rocking Joe". However, what I have really been waiting for is a fusion of both styles into one album, why can't we have all the great things about Joe's old albums and combine it with all the great things about Joe's modern albums?"
"With a rough edge and plenty of rocking, “BofD” shares the same earthy quality of blues/rock centered around a theme of the working man found on "John Henry" and "Dust Bowl". With a brief pause at the 2:30 mark Joe unleashes a primal guitar solo for the next two minutes only to drop you off right back where he left you to finish off the song. Then there's "No Good Place For The Lonely" an 8:33 killer where at 5:00 he unleashes for the remainder of the song; leaving you to just shake your head in wonder."
"I listened to this at my office and people are looking at my like I'm nuts because I'm dancing in my chair. Joe Bonamassa's voice is perfect for this kind of rockin' bluesy sound. ❖ Mountain Climbing - The opening riff on this song gets your blood moving. ❖ Drive - This brings the tempo down a notch, but keeps the intensity high...if that makes any sense. ❖ No Good Place For the Lonely - Has a more typical blue sound, though it's distinctive. ❖ Distant Lonesome Train - The beat certainly smacks you in the face to start this song. ❖ How Deep This Rivers Runs - Starts off slow and mild but really picks up. Joe's bluesy voice with the slow jazz music is a GREAT combo. It's the song you want to hear at the end of the show when you still want to feel the music but you're too tired to dance anymore. ❖ What I've Known For a Very Long Time - GREAT blues guitar riff to open this song. The vocals kick in and it's a softer song that's the perfect end to the album."

"However..she's a real hoot just being Beth Hart.Overall..the music is outstanding...the tunes are strong..and this cd is worth the money alright."
"I couldn't play a musical instrument to save my life, but I have listened to a lot of music in my 50 years on this planet. Because her vocals, and his guitar work are a real "match made in heaven," as they say, and us poor working folks haven't got a whole lot to look forward to these days."
"If I was some sort of quirky scientist fooling around with cloning experiments, I would likely be the type who would mix up various peoples' DNA to see what I could come up with. Because I think someone has cloned Janis Joplin, Bonnie Bramlett, Melissa Etheridge and Amy Winehouse into one person and named her "Beth Hart". As I said in my review of Joe's album, Dust Bowl, I learned my lesson about trying to catch a hot CD while it was in-stock in the stores. One tune that should put Hart/Bonamassa into the history books (and is yet another Boomerocity favorite) is their incredible cover of the Etta James song, I'd Rather Go Blind. I usually don't take too kindly to folks messin' with my D&B but, after listening to this cover about a bijillion times, I had to grant special dispensation - `specially since both Joe and Beth flawlessly channel the Bramlett's in their performance."
"Combine them and you have a winning mixture of talents."
"Joe seems to show admirable restraint backing Beth while still lighting up his featured solos."

Greatest Hits Live
Reviews
"Only Boz is Boz, like only Daryl is Daryl ."
"Boz has always been a great singer song writer."
"Usually I'm skeptical of live greatest hits albums, but Boz Scaggs Greatest Hits Live offers an intriguing look at the career of a successful artist who gained a larger audience by altering his approach without losing his integrity."
"outstanding cd came on time and also played great."
"Although I am a real fan and may be biased, I truly believe this is his best CD, not only because he's in such good voice, but because the band that backs him is unbelievable."
"If you love Boz Scaggs like I do, this is a must for your collection."
"My only hesitation is that I realize I enjoy the polished rich sounds coming from studio musicans, and not the improvised singing (from the back up singers) or sounds of the audience in the background."
