Find Best Price at Amazon"One thing I've noticed is that she likes to include a few songs that would sound at home with her last release along with the new music which is actually a really smart idea as it keeps from jarring the fans too much from one album to the next and allows them to embrace the direction that Taylor is headed. The first single off the cd, "Look What You Made Me Do," was a strong declaration that Taylor was ready to take on the haters on their own playing field. The low end on this album can rattle the windows with the best of them but the mids and high-end are there as well showing off Taylor's vocals which continue to get better. Taylor's songwriting also continues to evolve from the longer narrative story songs to more of a pop format. Taylor also continues to show that's she is growing up with lines like "Only bought this dress so you could take it off," something I'm sure that will have men everywhere wishing the song was written about them. Back in the day the Beatles would often throw a final track on a record to preview what was coming next. "Reputation" is an album that is both sonically pleasing and one that tells stories that people can relate to easily."

"With a rough edge and plenty of rocking, “BofD” shares the same earthy quality of blues/rock centered around a theme of the working man found on "John Henry" and "Dust Bowl". With a brief pause at the 2:30 mark Joe unleashes a primal guitar solo for the next two minutes only to drop you off right back where he left you to finish off the song. Then there's "No Good Place For The Lonely" an 8:33 killer where at 5:00 he unleashes for the remainder of the song; leaving you to just shake your head in wonder."

Joe Bonamassa's voice is perfect for this kind of rockin' bluesy sound. ❖ Mountain Climbing - The opening riff on this song gets your blood moving. ❖ Drive - This brings the tempo down a notch, but keeps the intensity high...if that makes any sense. ❖ No Good Place For the Lonely - Has a more typical blue sound, though it's distinctive. ❖ Distant Lonesome Train - The beat certainly smacks you in the face to start this song. ❖ How Deep This Rivers Runs - Starts off slow and mild but really picks up. Joe's bluesy voice with the slow jazz music is a GREAT combo. Find Best Price at Amazon"The voice I hear on Lauren Daigle’s debut, How Can it Be, reminds me of Adele and the International House of Prayer’s, Misty Edwards. The handclaps bring a smile, as well as the chorus, “When you don’t move the mountains I’m needing you to move/When you don’t part the waters I wish I could walk through/When you don’t give me answers as I cry out to you/I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in you.” I hear an endearing lightness and it’s easy to identify with the thought of life being a battle and more than a little unpredictable. “Let the waters rise I will stand as the oceans roar/Let the earth shake beneath/Let the mountains fall/You are God over the storm/And I am yours.” This is unshakeable confidence framed in majesty. Though our world be shaken, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). Daigle’s voice makes this regal, fitting for a King that presides over all. She starts off soulfully and becomes increasingly earnest, “Oh let this be where I die/My Lord with thee, crucified/Be lifted high as my kingdoms fall/Once and for all/Once and for all.” It brings to mind what Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote, “When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die.”. One of my favorite thoughts from Scripture highlights our need: “We all stumble in many ways” (James 3:2). As Robert Robinson wrote in a hymn, “Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above.” It’s why I like the line, “Be lifted high as my kingdoms fall.” Live enough years and it’s not hard to see the wreckage."

This gave people about a month to pick up this Christmas album. We Wish You a Merry Christmas. It's said in the music business that you haven't made it until you put out a Christmas album. There are many Christmas albums that flood the market every year that completely miss the point of Christmas, so it was refreshing to see this holy album be released that focuses on the real reason for the season. However, I also loved that there were titles on this album that I was unfamiliar with, as it helped broaden my catalog of great Christmas songs. Listening to this album in my car has been a relaxing endeavor, as it has helped me focus on Jesus with my commute to and from work."

(Full disclosure: when it comes to seventh graders, it is hard to beat flesh-eating zombies who can flat out dance.). I have received several notes from parents thanking me for introducing them to Stirling (and to a lesser extent, The Piano Guys, 2Cellos and some others). In addition to Stirling, we have The Piano Guys, David Garrett, Bond, Vanessa Mae, 2Cellos, and others producing music that doesn't readily fit into any current node. To my ear, they have the same basic rhythm and sound, but seem richer in supportive percussion and orchestration. "Roundtable Rival" has terrific guitar rifts, reminiscent of AC/DC and other classic rock groups."

"Lemonade is the sixth album from R&B singer Beyoncé. The album is presented in most discussion so far as a kiss-off to Jay Z and while that’s certainly one way to read it, Lemonade also gets into how cheating has been generational within the Knowles family (Beyoncé’s mother and sister were both cheated on as well) and connects this to how women (and specifically, black women) are always treated with disregard in this country. But speaking as someone who doesn’t really listen to much mainstream pop and who didn’t give two hoots about most of her music prior to 4 (I put this out there only to make it clear that I’m not Beyhive, I’m not unduly biased in favour of Beyoncé), I think Beyoncé has grown into our bravest, most adventurous, most exciting pop icon. I generally don't review albums but I had to express how much love I have for Lemonade."

An enlivening and engrossing set, this first disc shows what a truly talented DJ can accomplish when they refuse to lose focus for a second while slotting songs together. Considering also that this download comes with DJ friendly track choices of all the songs Digweed used in the mixes, but still only costs as much as one album, if you're even mildly considering buying it, you've no reason not to."

"Of course, Sasha has done his own productions of other tracks and then turned them into a studio album and Digweed has produced enough of his own to knock a few (way way, Heaven Scent will forever be one of the greatest tracks to be dropped) out of the park, just never enough for a *truly* all original "mixed" album. Wildly inconsistent, and yet predictable, the guy stood with Sasha and stack of records, yet produced tracks every bit as good as the people that were found in his sets, yet studio success obviously not being a long time goal (opinions on his own tracks span as wide has his passport is thick with stamps), and even abandoned records entirely for their last major recording done jointly, a digitally mixed one, which was just boring enough to sound like almost everything else that had the words progressive or deep attached to it, returned to the clicks and pops of vinyl in MMII and scored another honest win... Fans of Digweed all seem to have a different favorite Transitions mix (I prefer Transitions 2), but each sounds about as close to something originally produced as anything he has done, but an album in length and a tech sound. On top of spanning the globe, entertaining thousands upon thousands of people with one groove after another a question; was his creativity away from the 24hr party people done out of personal interest or just need for a track between two he really wanted to have during another set, or another album. We find 9 dollars buys two more 'polished' mixes, a live mix, and almost 40 full tracks for anyone that wants to play fantasy DJ themselves with material of his own, or personally picked, to appear in this album, that much like his career, varies from one end to the other, but never so far to the middle as to scare away the people that liked this music but could live without the clubs. When he came dangerously close (EG: Communicate), his reaction was to back away to something that sounded like it walked out of the 90s, some of the tracks sounding like he just got bored one night and decided to make a mix, who has time to clean their records spotless when his appearance in an indie film "Groove" had everyone wondering what the hell that song he opened his set with was *in the movie?"
