"My only complaint is to fold it back you can only grip it from the sides which is awkward to me."
"Awesome emergency knife with limitations of course."
"With the index and middle knuckles wrapped around each side of the head. For $5 SOG mades an alarmingly dangerous and easily-concealed self-defense weapon, especially if used by the right hands."
"Incredible quality, looks awesome, and an extremely high quality blade."
"Great little addition to my clip-on keychain."
"Love this little knife I’ve had it on my keys for about a year now and it’s still very sharp and in good condition."

"The knife is probably the best $ for product knife I've ever owned - I've had Leatherman, Gerber, Kershaw, and Benchmade open assist knives knives with several other fixed blade knives and these are my go-to knives."
"I have never owned a pocket knife in my life, but after binging LNM on Reddit for awhile, I thought it time I took my safety seriously."
"Nice knife."
"I'm not into serrated blades but it is very sharp on this knife as well as the blade. Thanks tac force for solid knife at a great price!"
"He has had a easy time opening and closing and using it for different needs."
"(The Bottle Opener): The bottle opener is a bonus to this knife I guess. Just look at the picture of the knife with the blade open and the motions and force you use to remove a bottle cap. Obviously It's safer with the blade forward but an odd way to open a bottle. I recommend just ignoring the bottle opener part of this knife. There are easier ways to open bottles if you absolutely must with out risking a knife wound. (Ease of Knife Opening and Closing): To open the knife you can just grab pull the blade out until it locks. You can also flick the switch with the tip of your pointer finger and the blade snaps open. To close the knife, look on the underside of the handle near the blade and press down on the metal lock with your thumb until you are able to begin closing the blade with your other hand. Right or Left Handed - This is mainly a right handed knife due to how you open it and where some of the grip is located on one side and not the other. The clip is removable though but it still feels like a right handed knife."
"The open area on the knife to grip to pull open the knife is sharp and needed to be ground To smooth the sharp edges."
"I wish it were a bit sharper and had a wider grip for my giant hands but it fits perfectly in the mini pocket of my jeans."

KA-BAR Full Size US Marine Corps Fighting Knife, Straight
The Ka Bar' was designed to serve our troops during WW II and is still doing its job, with honors, more than 70 Years later. The most famous fixed blade knife design in the world. The most famous fixed blade knife design in the world.
Reviews
"The new full size model with a 7" blade is larger than the 1209 and has the classic stacked leather handle and pinned butt cap. Treated the sheath with Neatsfoot oil and it got darker and more pliant, but still very sturdy with stitching and rivets."
"Anyone who knows anything about knives should be able to sharpen their own knives like they want, not complain about having to take it to a specialist. Stainless is very hard to achieve a good edge on without the proper honing instruments, such as ceramic. I live in New Mexico and have plenty of expierience in the matter. The oils in the leather will make it waterproof and keep most moisture out, plus, everytime you sheath it, you will put a fine coat of oil on the blade."
"That said, saturate the sheath in Neetsfoot oil, and coat the entire knife in Neetsfoot oil as well. Now whenever you sheath you blade, the excess oil inside the sheath will coat the blade and protect against rust. I recommend saturating the sheath in Neetsfoot oil every 3 months, and oiling the grip and blade once every month. One last thing: This blade is razor sharp, so like any blade, use caution and keep it away from children who haven't been taught proper knife care and safety protocols. Speaking of which, only about 7.5 months have passed (purchased 4/16/2015), but I've oiled the leather grip and sheath with traditional Neetsfoot oil at least once a week."
"Mine was black carbon. • The handle is lacquered-leather shouldn't be lacquered-it's too slippery. • There is a USMC stamp on one side – no stamp on the other side, no Orlean NY. • The sheath only has the USMC emblem and USMC on it – and is not Mexican quality. Definitely not the Ka-Bar I carried in Nam ,,, not even close."
"Poor quality, the engraving was half missing on the USMC side and completely missing on the made in NY side."

"I'm writing not only to praise this knife, but also the company that makes it - and the several other Kershaw folding knives I own and have given as gifts. I've recently changed my pattern of EDC, and wanted to put the pocket clip back on this knife. I emailed KAI to order the part, explaining that it wasn't broken or damaged or defective - I just misplaced it. I got a FAST response by email, telling me they were glad to send me a replacement clip free of charge."
"I've owned many knives and have come to realize I'm becoming less of a fan of serration for an EDC knife but that's a personal preference. I still carry this knife today and I love the fact that when I need a good blade I have this on my person."
"I decided to purchase this knife from Kershaw as a beginner, then I will move on to other brands and types."
"Absolutely worth the money, very durable, stays sharp for months with regular use, scratch resistant, and just small enough that it's legal to carry in my area!"
"My girlfriend's father wanted a "really good" pocket knife for Christmas. So I took the same qualities in that knife and narrowed it down to an all black, spring assisted, half serrated, pocket knife that was in my price range."
"Since the blade on this knife is just a smidge over three inches, depending on where you live, you might need to check your local ordinances on legal carry."
"Many people have asked me what kind of knife to get and Im a knife collector and I always tell them to get this knife first."
"Sharp, strong and light pretty much says it all."

"Good Guality for the price, more a conversation piece, but it’s still pretty cool."
"I bought as a gift, they loved it!"
"There are videos on line that demonstrate that picturing power of this M48 creation and it is at least highly acceptable, if not impressive. The pyramid shaped pommel, is visibly a dangerous less than lethal option of the knife and is an improvement that exceeds the original. I am personally engineering an improved sheath with a better retainer for my own purposes. Hitting a moving target by throwing a knife, is NOT like the movies. There is a great chance that you will miss or not cause fight ending damage. This means that you have disarmed yourself and given a pretty fearsome weapon to your adversary. The sheath (velcro) is its worst feature and is functional. The blade is 420ss (be careful what you wish for if there was ever a high carbon steel option - you may never properly sharpen it again) and is more that acceptable to me."
"I thought it was a great idea, considering this knife is really dangerous, even for those who are using it. The sheath that came with it is in plastic, but somebody thought it was great idea to leave giant holes in it."
"A bit hard to sharpen, but looks great and well constructed."
"Excellent knife, 1/4 twist more than the Microtech and a lot less money!"
"I wanted the original but very hard to find and is $1,200+ dollars. It's worth about $40 max retail cuz it cost $10 at most for whole sealers to buy. It's not thru prime so it's not worth it and will just be a story add to my collection of 150+ knives. As for the seller, the shipping was good for non prime and so was the packaging plus they sent a cool catalog with it. I understand the seller has to make money and that's ok but I really think the price should be a lot lower."

"The Clip is remarkably durable and highly adaptable to preference, making placement on Belt, Boot, or M.O.L.L.E gear an easy task. I see comments like, “Not the Best Collector's Knife,” “Handle is too Short,” “Cut my Leg.” I must encourage the cynics to realize a few things: 1.). The Bottom Line: If one is using this blade for its intended purpose, namely, self defense, I believe it meets all standards and could very well be a life saver."
"A local police officer showed me a trick for belt wearers to make these legal to carry and extremely fast to deploy. Normally with the way the belt clip is, that clipped to a belt it will ride high on waist and also make it illegal to carry and frankly hard to deploy."
"Now here's the best part after having thrown it into trees plywood and basically giving it a full stress test the point was still sharp as it was out of the box."
"Not super big but a great size."
"bought 2 of these , one for me and one for my special girl, i love it, very well made, nice sheath, easy acees if needed in bad situations."
"I think it's a perfect size if your going to be carrying it around on you."
"I have used this gear for several drills."
"It is a bit less quality than an old Gerber I have of this exact style, but good for the price."

"It's a bit heavy to carry as one piece while walking thru the woods, but my son took several pieces for the walking field dressing, and we used the rest of the kit in preparation for transportation and processing at home."
"However based on the weight of all the knives together I will probably only carry the actual knives I will be using in the field."
