"We only had a few issues with it which are not a dealbreaker: 1) The waterfall feature does not create a ribbon of water, but instead it consolidates into a harsh stream before it reaches you, and is similar to what you would get with a garden hose. The metal that makes up the waterfall bit too started to show surface rust very quickly. 4) The spring within the tempreature knob that allows the saftey catch to work (preventing you from accidentally turning it up too hot) has broken after 3 months."

"You might want to switch the hot and cold water when hooking up the unit. The temperature will not get very hot unless you do this. If you do not want to switch the hot and cold water, you have to slightly push the button down on the temperature knob to make it hotter."

"Will readers cease to take me seriously if I do my imitation of Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally"? It's a *great* product, and given the current price (less than $300 at the present time) it's a wonderful, reasonably affordable luxury. Though it looks complicated, my husband (very handy, former kitchen contractor with decent plumbing knowledge) installed it in a short period of time. Warning about the "mist": this is soft and relaxing if you turn down the pressure (i.e., push in the handle to lessen the force of the water). 3) You can indeed trick the panel into doing "rainfall showerhead" and "top four jets" at once by toggling the control between the two settings. However, since a couple of people have mentioned water pressure as a general concern, I have no problem at all with this. It will help with your stress level, brighten your day, cause your hair to be better rinsed and improve your social life as your friends start coming over with lame excuses to take showers at your place."
"After seeing some recent commercials for similar products, I started looking into these shower panels. We had our contractor panel in, but it is something that you could do with a standard plumbing setup for a tub shower, which is important if you're doing it yourself. This is the sort of thing that you might think "it's a luxury, I'd feel silly buying or using it, and how nice could it be?" After a long day, relaxing and letting the tension out with a nice, hot shower is simply fantastic. Simply disassemble the Top Tee #4 from #19 Actuator Housing and remove #7 Shower Pipe from housing to expose the #21 Top Brass Fitting this is where your allen wrench comes into play disassemble the housing to get to the Actuator on that piece, in there is a small wheel like piece with holes in it heald on with a small bolt remove this wheel replace everything else and reassemble everything else."
"Oh, I did not remove any water restriction thing which I believe it does have as I think there is plenty flow and we all need to do our part to conserve but I think if you must, you could open it up and get a lot more flow. The hand held wand has several settings to dial in fine high pressure to a higher pulsating flow and setting in between."
"I started shopping around for a replacement shower head about a week after we moved in and like everything else, I quickly found out that there are a ton of options. The shower stall in our master bathroom is one of those drop-in fiberglass dealies that all of the tract home builders are using. Speaking of requirements, here was what I wanted: -High-quality. -Rain shower head. -Extended shower arm. -Handheld unit with adjustable flow. -Minimal plumbing required. The PULSE Showerspas line has excellent reviews, installs in less than an hour (according to the box) and is built like a tank. The included brass nipple that connects to the water line in the wall was just a bit too long so I ended up using the old escutcheon to fill some of the gap (see the close-up image). The adhesive pad that attaches the bottom of the vertical pipe to the shower wall has a peel-off part that is a bit of a PITA to remove. I've read online where some people have removed the check valves and other little pieces to improve their water flow rates, but I didn't have to monkey around with any of that. Our house has pretty killer pressure as it is, so even when running both the handheld unit and overhead rainshower head at the same time we get amazing flow. Something else you need to be aware of, the piping between the handheld unit and the overhead big shower head holds a pretty good amount of water. Along with toilet paper and beer, add shower heads to the list of things that are worth splurging on."
