Reviews
"There is an incredible amount of functions and activities for this tablet. I am trying to include a video of the amazing functions included in this tablet."
"For example, when you hit the "A" button, the animation says "A, Apple", and spells out the word APPLE on the screen and shows a bear eating an apple. He can recognize and read the word apple now, along with other words, and I'm pretty sure a lot of the credit goes to this toy. He also likes to play the "planting fun" game where it counts out each number you press."
"My daughter loves this toy!"
"The two AA batteries included are for sampling only."
"I bought this for my two-year-old granddaughter, hoping for something to distract her from trying to swipe her big brother's games."
"It's a great product, but it's just a little too old for an 18 month old."
"I really LOVE V tech I think this is a great tablet this is something that can grow with the child for many years."
"I got this for my daughter for Christmas and it broke in one day."

"Take a pinch of Minecraft, a hint of Legos, along with classic platform video games and turn it into a toy that not only allows children to play those video games, but to help craft them too. Seriously, as a former computer programmer, I think that idea alone deserves a slow hand clap. One thing that was clear from the app is that there are a lot of young craftsman out there creating games. Also impressive is that Mattel has created an easy-to-use interface that allows these designers to share and play each other’s work. My advice: get in a heavily lit room, and place the board on a surface that will make it stand out. A designer can do it all via the app too—picking colored blocks from a palette and dropping them onto a virtual board. It also makes a nice gift you can wrap for Christmas and serves as a good starting point. I would’ve liked a little more straightforward and structured explanation, but what is here should be adequate for your young designer. ** Update: I wanted to add a note here now that my son has opened and used this kit. Within a couple hours, he had fairly sophisticated level to show me, complete with a hero and villain characters."
"He likes the fact that he can create his own characters, his own levels and tell his own story. As a parent I do not have to monitor or limit his Bloxel time because every minute engages him think, learn and grow."
"But you could get as detailed as you want to; create textures for the ground and import them, make huge levels, design traps, bad guys... it's really impressive!"
"A really cool concept for a game."
"I'm quite frustrated as this isn't exactly a cheap toy, so I was planning to return it when last minute he figured out there are a couple of "extras" he does need the board for."
"High quality pieces - even the box is thick and high quality."
"You use the camera to verify your purchase (which took my Nexus 5X 20 minutes to get the right color of the pixels to verify) and then you work completely in the app."

Reviews
"Great Touch Activity Desk for learning all sorts of things. A few things to note: the child needs to learn not to lean on/touch the table other than when they are intentionally touching/interacting with it. The table is very sensitive - you don't push the buttons, you just touch it - so it goes all haywire when she's leaning on it. It might be nice if they gave a little border at the front so kids can lean on it/put their hands somewhere - and have the buttons further up. Older children can be taught to be careful - but my 2 year old wouldn't know until she got hurt. The stool and table are quite strong and sturdy due to the legs bending out - so it has a nice wide base. Personally, my 2 year old needs some more growing up and calming down before she can really take advantage of this product, but there's no doubt that she can learn a lot from it."
"So if you buy this watch the fingers when they pull the table back down to play."
"He had the original Touch and Learn Activity Desk which was one of his favorite toys; however, the new expansion packs only fit this new desk. The desk is very interactive and holds my toddler's attention for very long periods of time."
"Music Jammer with colorful keyboard and different musical instruments, plus music genres (jazz, hip-hop, rock, pop, R&B). 5. Fruits & Colors. Yes, there is an OFF button, Parents - but, unfortunately, it's easy enough for a child to turn it back on. There is a clear female voice that gives directions, sings, and in other ways interacts with the child."
"The desk also flips open into a chalkboard/art desk."

"Pros: -Features letters, counting, number order and matching (but of course, my favorite feature is the ability to change the screen color, I know weird right??). -Has a great mental break feature, piano playing. -Buttons are easy to push, making it a strong sturdy item that will seemingly last a long time. -LOUD! Children tend to forget this all the time which wastes a lot of batteries. Minor Cons: -Wish there was a way to change the brightness...even without the color background it can be a bit difficult to see."
"I wish this one was out before the orange one with less buttons we bought a year ago!"
"It a great learning tool but not good for just sensory and fun."
"A 18 month old will only hit at it and lose interest, my 3 year old will press the letters and numbers in a learning way, but doesn't play the games, a 2 year old I watch pressed all the buttons and didn't play the games, my 5 year old is fully engaged and actually learning."
"My daughter loves this toy!"
"I would recommend this product to someone looking for a learning tablet."

"The 5 buttons sticking out the side with musical instruments can be used as a mini piano when the book is closed."
"The volume can be turned fairly low so it doesn't interrupt many people walk out and about."
"He likes books - he likes flipping through the pages, chewing on them, etc. He likes to destroy books), but he does like to flip the pages of this book back and forth."
"Whenever he plays with it I sing the songs too, I think he will be singing them with me before long."
"As an English professor, I know well the endless benefits of teaching children--& yes, even babies--to love books & reading."
"My only complaint is that it continues to make noise for a minute or so after you stop playing with it which gets annoying."
"great songs and such but my toddler doesn't seem to love it- would be better if you could play each song on command, you have to turn the pages and then wait for the 2nd song to come on and my little one has no patience for that."
"All the kids wanted to play with this book and left the other toys on the floor unattended."

"This is an inexpensive learning tool for toddlers but my grandson LOVES it! The screen is a very basics black and grey but it works for him!"
"Didn't work - she loved her videos & games on the iPad much better! I was hoping the laptop would work as I don't like giving her iPad screen time, but for a long flight, you do whatever works!"
"Unlike ever other mock child's laptop I've encountered the activities are actually accessible to a preschooler, possibly even a toddler. There is no particular reason, why the user couldn't customize the entire email and not just the person it is from and to. It is a good, fun distracting toy for long trips, potty bribery and such."
"It has taken me a long time to write a review but I just noticed I never left one."
"When I bought this Leap Frog "My Own Leaptop" in June, 2017, I realized it was a newer version than the one I purchased in 2012, but I figured they would have simply made improvements upon the old model. To do this you must have the LeapFrog "My Own Leaptop" USB connector cable (see last photo), internet access, a USB port, and Adobe Flash software (an easy, free download that the LeapFrog software prompts you to download if you don't have it). I bought the used leaptop shown in the photos for $8 with free shipping and no cable. It arrived today and with new batteries and my old cable I was able to reprogram each of the customizable features and now it's perfect! - You can select one "sing along" song, and five melody songs for it to play, and it also plays a song spelling out your child's name. - When you push the "blog" button, it reads a blog entry and then asks your child [by name] about their day. - You can personalize three "email" messages by selecting text from a dropdown menu (you cannot type your own message) and entering the sender (e.g., "Grandma" or "Betsy"). - In the alphabet mode when your child pushes the first letter of their name it will switch between one of two results. Love, [Scout or Violet, depending on whether you have the boy or girl version] Let's reply. It doesn't read the reply you type (which makes sense since most children will push letters randomly). - In the alphabet mode when your child pushes the first letter of their name it will switch between one of two results. Both of our children really like singing and dancing to the music and playing at receiving and writing emails. The main reason our children, and in turn we ourselves, like the old version of this toy so much is because it engages them directly by name so frequently through the alphabet, music, email and blog modes. We brought our 2012 Leaptop every time we traveled with our son from about age 18 months to 3 years. His interest waned enough after that that we no longer brought it on travels, but it remains a much beloved toy for home use to this day. We are extremely confident that the used old version of the Leaptop we just bought our daughter is sure to be her new favorite toy."
"This version does NONE of that."
"I had read it wasn't as good as old version but I didn't know the old."

"Pushing them will trigger lights and different songs on each page. When you turn the page, it makes a chiming noise then goes into either a song or a nursery rhyme that coordinates with what is on each page. Pushing the music note with a page open will trigger the corresponding song to play."
"I thought it would catch my 1 year old eye but she not really interested in the book."
"She is almost 16 months old and has been absorbing a lot of knowledge so this has been very educational."
"This is not my daughter's favor, it is because the speaker sound is too low and the graphic is not vivid."
"The songs are not the traditional nursery versions, and the voices used for songs and animal sounds don’t sound great."
"I got this for my(then 13 month old) Niece for Christmas and she absolutely loves it!"
"He likes it, but doesn't really keep his attention long, but It could be him, as he has a hard time staying focused."
"The "VTech Musical Rhymes Book" is my 4 month old's absolute favorite toy, so I figured I would get another version to give mom and dad a break from the same 6 nursery rhymes that we play over and over."
