Graphics: Typical JRPG fare for the character sprites (big heads, small bodies) although some of the palettes for the characters are somewhat suspect, but good background and map graphics plus superb anime Cutscenes (think classic Ninja Gaiden, with voice acting in it). Gameplay: A unique battle system (think Chrono Trigger w/out the little meters) and RPG mechanics for the early 90's. Music & Sound: A fantastic soundtrack but except in the anime cutscenes, the sound effects are more along the lines of Genesis quality, but voice acting is what really sets this game apart from others at the time. CONS: -Ingame sound effects (except in the Anime cutscenes) are Genesis-quality. -Some of the character sprites have the wrong coloring. -The random encounter rates can be tedious at certain spots. PROS: -Superb music. -Voice acting is good for a game made for the SEGA CD. -Funny moments courtesy of Working Designs' translation. -Great RPG Mechanics for its time. In summary, with a mix of Working Design's amazing translation, gameplay, music and more, this is really worth getting."

Normally, Nintendo contract players such as Mario, Pikachu, Link, Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Kirby are generally happy and well-mannered, but in Super Smash Bros. Melee , the pleasantries get thrown out and the gloves (except for Mario's) come off. This update of the N64 favorite features these and other video game icons in furious, yet utterly absurd fisticuffs that usually make for a smashing good time. Starting off with 14 characters (an additional 11 are waiting to be unlocked), the game has a pretty standard premise--let Nintendo's stars beat on each other until the timer runs out. The game features an adventure mode that plays somewhat like an old-school, side-scrolling Mario game. Number of Players: Offline: 1-4 Players.

Brawl, on the other hand, was release 7 years after SSBM, but not much was changed at all."
