While the Jaguar ran circles around the Genesis and Snes in terms of power, the hype of the Playstation and Saturn loomed over the Jaguar in 94, it's pivotal year. In a little over two years, the "official" lifespan of the Jaguar, only 54 or 55 games were released. While it's understandable that in the mid 90s the software lineup just didn't seem as exciting as what the Playstation had, taking a second look almost two decades later the Jaguar has a lot of fun games."
"The much-maligned Atari Jaguar, released in late 1993, was the most advanced video game system in the world at the time. Yes, it was truly 64-bit, as the graphics and data processors were 64-bit, while it also contained two 32-bit processors (for other purposes) and a secondary processor, the Motorolla 68000, which was technically 16-bit but was never intended for use in primary functions. However, the Shield has a monster CPU and GPU compared to those devices so it makes sense. I got rid of the Fire TV and Roku Streaming sticks as I got frustrated with how slow and buggy they could be. The app is really too much for Roku and Fire TV to handle and is very clunky and unstable. The Google Play channel is also a huge difference compared to the buggy offering on Roku. I also sideloaded Kodi and can simply hook up a HDD through USB and watch all my shows straight on the Shield with no hassles. Its $200, but the power of the device, the versatility of it and the great controller it comes with makes its well worth the cost if you need all its features."

Still very playable but you will have trouble seeing some things in the game, especially if you've gotten spoiled by the quality of the screens on the DS Lite and Game Boy Micro (Both have screen very similar is brightness and clarity to the AGS-101). The AGS-001 doesn't come in Graphite, so you might think I got on Onyx model instead, maybe just a mistake made in packaging as those colors are similar. Plays games perfectly, only cosmetic scratches on the outside plastic, screen is as perfect as it can be, buttons are clicky, basically no issues aside from the wrong color and model. To sum it up, if you buy this and get the unit shown, you will be nearly 100% satisfied (As much as you can be from a system around 10 years old). But if you can track down a AGS-101 that will be your best option as you can get other GB or GBC games like Link's Awakening DX or Pokemon Blue to play on it as well as your GBA library."
