The disc also features a making of featurette called Gdansk Diary which also covers some background on the Solidarity movement in Poland. These performances include highlights from the Island tour recorded at the Mermaid Theatre in London, The AOL Sessions in New York and Live at Abbey Road."

"A confirmed Parrothead, I'll admit I delayed buying this one out of ignorance: I didn't realize there was a DVD included until I was in the supermarket the other day and it was playing on a big flat-screen television. Enjoy them, the fantastic shots of water and boats, and the obvious joy of the people who had the great fortune of being able to attend this "festival"...."concert" is too stuffy a term for this. Jimmy in shorts, t-shirt, flip flops (which he gives away to two women in the crowd at the end of the event, one who can be clearly seen mouthing, "OH, MY GOD!!!"
"But I don't wear rose-colored parrot glasses; at their worst, some of Buffett's songs can be a little too novelty, finding themselves to be much more funny or entertaining than they really are. I had heard the very mediocre LIVE AT WRIGLEY FIELD, which features a horrible sound mix and a lackluster performance, and I was suspicious about whether I would be wasting my money on ANGUILLA. I don't know if it was the remote locale, but if that's what brings out such great performances in Buffett, he needs to start playing more obscure locations and recording them. The covers of The Beach Boys' "In My Room" and Marley's "Waiting in Vain" [sung by his guitarist] were huge surprises. So, my question is this: What happened to "Jolly Mon," "Banana Republics," "Coast of Marseilles," "In My Room," "Presents to Send You," "Stranded in a Sand Bar," and "A Pirate Looks at 40/Redemption Song" from the beach show? We all love the fun sing-a-long songs like "Cheeseburger," but the beach show drew attention to the fact that Buffett is a very talented songwriter, too."

Find Best Price at Amazon"Through the numerous times I've watched the DVD and listened to the CD I've noticed that they've definitely done a fair amount of touching up the sound on the CD and some of the riffs sound a bit different from DVD to CD, but that's not really a big deal to me as they've still kept their "sound.""

Bought one and decided to get more for friends and family (whom I am familiar with their musical tastes) as a holiday gift. Andre Bocelli, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Peter Cetera, Boz Scaggs, Celine Dion, Brian McKnight, Eric Benet, Kenny G, Babyface, Blake Shelton, Cheryl Lynn, Katherine McPhee with cameos by Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, John Travolta and Kevin Costner. I thought that I am already too old to get goosebumps; but her performance on this event was absolutely jaw dropping. For the finale, Josh Groban took David's seat on the piano for his rendition of "You Raised me Up" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water" with Brian McKnight."

Maybe because we're strange too.Dead Sleep - maybe the best song on the cd after living with ghosts. Says it's really the first song to ever describe that spent feeling you get when someone drains the life out of you. Great song to get you feeling strong during the tough times.Paper Dolls - Also could be a single. "Favorite songs are the soaring Living With Ghosts, the ROCKIN Dead Sleep and Strange and then there's Ghettoverit which is so funny (if you get the joke) that it reminds me of something Adam Sandler would do if he were a real musician.Also really cool is hearing how the boys work with songs co-written by the likes of Aaron Lewis from Staind (big surprise for me there, I liked it) and the guy from Marcy PLayground (Paper Dolls is another GREAT song on this disc).I can't see how anyone could be disappointed by this CD. "BYOS is a solid listen straight through w/o a bad song and alot more mellow than their other ones (reminds me of stuff by Pepper, Slightly Stupid, Stranger etc even though its unique). PTSE is more rock w/ some funk bass and stuff, good cd but their sound is less developed."

First up I don't know if this was remastered or someone just futzed with the EQ a bit but this new edition of "What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits" sounds extremely good."

If you’re able to unshackle your heart and mind of their expectations (an admittedly hard thing to do for fans, and perfectly understandable when they can’t) of what Q2K should be then you can sit back and enjoy some mighty fine modern rock. He doesn’t wail his guts out, true, but he sings with varied warmth and heat and even nuance amidst mostly driving songs. But the benefit of this is that it allows the guitars to be more emotionally expressive and punctuate lines and moments rather than shred, scream, or blister and squeal. Emotionally packed music with thick guitar parts driving in tandem with the bass kick of the drums. 6) Beside You—Moving back to featuring more melody and a slower tempo and having Tate draw out his vocals the chorus builds and then satisfies when it flattens out. 7) Liquid Sky—With some slick production to blend moments together this song can get old pretty quickly if set on repeat but standing in the midst of this set it offers a bit of a different sound, the most engaging bits being Tate’s almost spoken transitions to singing style. A little hard to get into but a good track with a mean groove on the chorus and some of the album’s best guitar work. Strong rock track that loses its sensual edge live."
